Fuck tha "kanye west sound" and the "southern sound" bay artist need to reinvent and create they own fuckin sound! If I wanna hear crunk shit I will go to lil jon and them, if I wanna hear Kanye type shit I will buy a Kanye album...I wish people would have the nuttz to just do them and not follow other niggas thats hot...not saying that bay cats shouldn't connect with other artist, but have some pride and make the country love yo own home grown bay shit...not what you imitated from the next reigon.
Im feelin bloodline a bit...but how many more generations of bay artists do we have to go through to accomplish the "pride goal". Not saying lets all give up our sound and just start doing what everyone else is doing..but maybe dj Squeeky can help enhance the flavor a bit..I don't know...but I think we should try anything at this point. It's 2004 and we are still tryin to get on nationally. I say nationally because our own peoples don't even really support our artists in terms of sales. We'll all listen to the radio and be ampt for bay shit...we'll go to the clubs and get so hype when thry play bay shit..but will we all go to the store and purchase..spend money..spend doe on bay shit....NO...we'll buy e'z, trees, even bootleg dvd's instead of bay albums to get us out the hole. tuff speech but real words.
