I got a couple things to say about this topic that keeps coming up. IM guilty of bashing Ceo's and artists for fronting about when the albums is going to drop but the more i read others posts I relize its not that easy to drop an album, Ive been working on my shit for a minute and want to drop it this summer but I was planning on dropping it last summer. I dont even really remember how long its been in the works. Its not easy
On the other hand, these guys are trying to blow extra big right now they have to make sure that everyone that wants to or needs to know knows that its going to be there, Now having twenty different release dates doesnt help at all it makes it worse, but if it means they're selling the cds around the country during concerts and making more of a profit THAN selling them in the stores how can you knock that? It just means you need to get off your ass and go to some shows.
Its not the same with all realeases but im just speculating and brainstorming about whats craccin. Basically if you guys are real fans you can wait. And if you get the bootlegg you will buy the album when it drops.

I mean cats in Fillmore had the quinn for days before it came out, because quinn and chuck knew they could trust the folks from out there to not put the shit all over the internet. like you fags would. I bet if one person got that shit on here everyone would have it in a week.

How can these artists we want to gain national attention get it when we are bootleggin our own shit. The major distrabution companys look for labels or artists that have a large fanbase already, and without soundscans they dont really cee that, Killa Tay Thinks soundscan just fucks bay artists so if thats the case it dont matter. but we'll never know untill people start supporting this shit.

Basically instead of bashing these guys embrace them, and every chance you get to talk to someone about that cd coming out tell em its coming.

It takes two to tango so they need to clean up their shit too but just stop whining like pigs

I agree that we should embrace the local artists...but most people I know don't know how to find bay area stuff on the internet because it's not on kazaa. I don't know of any bootleggers either. Proportionately, I don't think the bay area artists suffer from bootlegging near as much as mainstream artists.

support artist who actually drop shit when its possed to be out.

i rember when i could hit up a web site write down 10 realeses for the day hit 1 or 2 wherehouses and come home with 7 or 8 of the cds i was looking for. and that was weekly.

now fuck it why ima waste my gas and go out of my way to buy your shit when the odds are i aint gonna be able to find it.

and there to many fucking excuses. what in the last 4 or 5 years it all of a sudden became hard to be honest when it comes to a realese date????????

support is earned not given.

p.s.

now and then shit happenes and its understandable, but not with every realese from an artist or 10 times with one project. thats fucking ridiculous
