This "One West" movement that everybody seem to be hopping on has the possibility in my opinion to bring the WestCoast back to prominence....If you could have one up and coming Bay Area rapper hook up with one up and coming LA rapper who would they be? I would like to see J. Stalin & Nipsey Hussle get on a track together. Both these niggas are holding down their camps. Both are coming the hardest for their cities.

First off the West ain't just the Bay and LA and it sho ain't just Cali....How u gonna have a West movement when u talking about just two regions in the same state....To keep it real I hear better talent up out of the Northern Valley then I do the Bay and hear better talent outta Dago then I do LA.....If there is gonna be a movement then it better be Cali, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Montana and Neveda in the picture for an ultimate takeover.....The south got several States on there team and that's why they keep winning.

Nipsey go hard on the mic and when I met him on Crenshaw and Slauson at the gas station he had a good attitude.....He got heat for real...J Stalin got talent too so I'm not taking nothing away from that collab.

But Niggaz need to get this Bay/LA bullshit out they head when talking about the West coming back.

Of course of course LA artists will always get the nod, that's just the way it is. I have no problem with that....What I do have a problem with is ppl like you making assumptions off what you read on Siccness. I don't know who you've been talking to, but nobody I know thinks Messy Marv and A-Wax are top tier Bay rappers. But like I said, IT's ALL OPINION. I think the Bay is better, you think the Valley is better. There is no way to prove one way or the other. I don't think X-Raided is smashing on Yuk, 40, Lock, Quinn....it's a plethora of other I could name. But again, it's opinion, which is why arguments like these are stupid. When the last time a Sac nigga been on TV? Not a hating bone in my body, but there is no comparison to what the Valley is doing and what the Bay is doing. The Valley is 100% underground. That's not a bad thing, but when you talk about "bringing the West back," 100% underground won't do the job.

And real talk if all you've heard from Mac Dre was "Thizzle Dance" than you missed out. Listen to his catologue and then come back and say he wasn't a great rapper. Dre wasn't always hyphy. Hell maybe you have heard Dre's full catolouge and you just aren't a fan... no problem. I'm not a fan of C-Bo and X-Raided, but I respect what they have brought.

Obviously I can't talk about my original post because you decided to bring your opinions on the Valley into the equation. I'm just going along with you bruh that's all. And No....I'm not saying all those cats you have don't have major followings (I knew you were gonna say that), I'm saying they aren't the type to bring the Westcoast back to a mainstream audience. Whatever the excuse, "too hard for the radio," "real niggas don't sell out," doesn't matter. When the last time you seen any of them on TV? Does anybody from the Valley have ANY buzz whatsoever outside of California? No nigga not even a little.

Yes the Bay is in a major slump, as well as the rest of the West, but compared to the Valley....there is no comparison. If they Bay is in a slump from a mainstream perspective, the valley is DEAD. PLEASE don't bring up record sells, because unless your name is Snoop Cube Dre or Game, you not selling big on this coast anymore. It's about recognition. Recognition is something the Valley does not get in the mainstream. TV time is recognition, touring around the country is recognition. Who in the valley is doing that? I could be wrong my nigga educate me.....You naming these old ass rappers from Sac that have been doing it for over 15 years....I mean damn how one dimensional can the Valley be? The Bay has the old heads and the youngstas.

And like I said about that East Coast comment, the cats I go to school with represent the ignorance out there. But that assumption is still another reason why the Valley doesn't get recognition. Maybe there needs to be another "Colors" movie based in Stockton or some shit. The fact of the matter is, music coming from the Valley does not have that mainstream potential that Bay music has. Just like Bay music doesn't have mainstream potential that LA music has.
