Basic Movie Burning Question

do i have to go out of my way to get those products? i dont really want to add anything to my laptop...........

they are Office Depot Brand.......DVD-R recordable, 120 minutes, 4.7 Gb

why arent you just doing a direct copy of the disk? You cant rip it to wmv, or mpeg, and then go and burn it to a dvd and itll play. You need to either do a direct copy, (same thing) make an iso and burn that, or copy all the folders(video_ts etc) on the disk to your HD and burn those with burning software that has dvd movie template.

and if you have an old dvd reader, make sure the disks you were able to play are the same as your burning to, i.e. DVD+R or DVD-R
