Where are all the posts that shows your anger when we are out here KILLING each other?
Way to turn that around ...

I'll say this again, it's wack that it takes someone to DIE before the people take to the streets. Or maybe it's wack that the people don't take to the streets until a story is picked up nationally.

Maybe it's wack that this type of shit happens ever-y day. If this is the case as many people claim it is, it's SUPER WACK that the people don't take to the streets more often. Maybe they do, and maybe it isn't covered by the media *shrugs*

To me, asking people "what are you doing to help?" is a copout. Those complaining about the complainers come off as opportunistic because you don't hear anything from them about what they're doing to help or you don't hear of them reaching out showing others how to help until some major catastrophe happens. Wack.

How is it a copout? Does it hit home and thats why you made that statement? If one complains do it AFTER you have tried to help. If you read through the thread you will see exactly what I do and if not this thread another related one. Besides that unless you know me in real life , or follow me on Twitter you have no idea what I do on a regular basis. I have very strong opinions and I stand behind them 100% through action. I know very few folks on siccness and no one on this thread but just going on personal experience the reactions im hearing are similar to those I hear in real life from those who are complacent. If you are doing something positive lets talk about it and be about it

Don't take what I said as an attack on you specifically. It's was a generalization.

I'm not trying to debate nothin. I'm just pointing out how funny it looks (to people who are already cynics to begin with) when someone such as yourself, in this particular case, starts to call people out when his/her stance is challenged in the slightest.

It's not even that you're calling people out, really. It's more that your perceived aggression (no one can accurately ascertain emotion from text) is not helping you get your point across. You leave the door open for cats to challenge you because they're like, "Who the fuck is this? ... How come all of a sudden he/she is speaking up now? ... Shit has been fucked up and NOW all of a sudden I'm hearing from this person and this person wants to act as if he/she has been consistently expressing his/herself about the problems we all should care about?"

You gotta know your audience, lol

I understand what you are saying and see how it seems like I popped up all of a sudden i have been a member on here for a long time but barley ever post and only for very specific reasons. I tried to use this platform to get people involved in a event that really should hit home. Understand I am extremely passionate about social justice and up-building our community and with everything thats happen this last week in the my city that I love I just want to see people who want better to do better.

And to those who are using this incident as an excuse to voice their displeasure with police, you must really hate niggaz then cause niggaz are directly responsible for more murders of other niggaz than cops.

Keep it real, how is peer to peer murder any less offensive than what happened here?
