Q. In your pursuit of Ruth's record, how do you feel about coming to play -- with the knee surgery, getting prepared, how is that going to delay you?

BARRY BONDS: That's the part that I'm afraid of more. See, my legs have always been the strongest thing on my body. The work ethics that I use with my legs, that's my power and my entire drive. It's always been my legs. This, you know, your hands are just -- use your hands to hit, but I need that drive.
In that quote Bonds is discounting the importance of his hands and is saying that the strength he has for hitting home runs is in his legs. I don't know what you're arguing about it for, HE SAID IT HIMSELF. This is absurd. Whether I never played basebal in my life or was a Hall of Fame player it wouldn't matter so I don't know why you're asking like that means something, he said it himself. I repeated what he said and you're saying it's wrong. Do you think he's lying? Or maybe you think he doesn't know his own swing? Maybe you're implying that he doesn't know how he hits home runs?!!

thanks for the link.

" Dodger Stadium is the best show I ever go to in all of my baseball. They say, "Barry sucks" louder than anybody out there. And you know what, you'll see me in left field going just like this, because you know what, you've got to have some serious talent to have 53,000 people saying you suck. And I'm proud of that." I just gotta say lol at that shit.

1st off: I asked your baseball history because i wanted to know how in depth you understand the dynamics of hitting. Its like if you were a teacher teachin trig and had a student that only was taught up to algebra. i'd like to know at what level are you taught up to. I'm not trying to be dick about it.

I'm not going to argue anymore about this unless your wiling to actually learn about the dynamics of hitting, and right now your not. Hitting is a puzzle and you need every piece to fit correctly for it to work. And no he doesnt discredit his hands far from it, they way i read that is his legs are the most "fragile" (not in the old tired way) and is what needs to be worked on the most.

Now look at Bonds 99% of the Homers that he hits have nothing to due with power. He has some of the quickest hands in baseball, that coupled with the ability to make perfect contact will hit balls out of the yard. Look at the way his shots leave the bat thats not from power, thats from quick hands

I'm not talking about the dynamics of hitting, I'm talking about how he hits balls out of the yard. You said 99% of his home runs are not from power, they're from quick hands. He said your hands are just to hit, but his legs are "my power and my entire drive." Listen to the press conference, you can hear with the way he's saying it when he's talking about his power he's discounting his hands and saying it's all in his legs.
