Barry Bonds is not allowed to play the race card !!

If McGwire suddenly got hella good when he was past his prime, suddenly started hitting hella HR's, and suddenly was in the race to break the all-time HR record he would have been in the exact same position. (Remember, McGwire set the record for HR's for a rookie, he didn't just suddenly start blasting HR's left and right when he was past his prime.)
Any player who got that big and that good that fast would get treated the same way. I don't think race has anything to do with it.

didnt we already discuss this? Bonds has been blasting homers his whole career. hm....im not saying its a race thing, but maybe, just maybe, as someone said, McGwire wasnt scrutinized, why wasnt he? but bonds is? and lets remember, mcgwire was past his prime, and he proved it.
people fear Bonds like they fear diahrrea while out in public. they cant handle him, for some reason.
what people really should be angry about is how many times hes been walked. Barry is the best player in the history of the game...not just hitter, PLAYER.
Here's why I think Bonds is catching more shit:
1) Balco. Victor Conte said Bonds was using steroids. Jason Giambi said he used their steroids. Balco is under federal investegation. Bonds was almost like their poster boy. http://www.snac.com/mag_king_of_swing.htm
2) McGwire hit 49 home runs his rookie year which was not only the most HR's for a rookie but he hit more HR's than anyone in the majors that year. McGwire was always a power hitter. Bonds was not a power hitter in Pittsburg.
3) McGwire only held the record for a couple seasons. If Bonds never broke the record and never had ties to Balco, the big story right now would be Canseco accusing McGwire.
4) Barry broke the single season HR record, and is on his way to break the all-time HR record... All this improvement came at the age where most people would be considering retirement. If Barry was hitting HR's but not breaking records, it wouldn't be as big of a story.
5) McGwire admitted to using Andro. Bonds, despite the Balco connection, despite what Conte has said, despite the increased HR productivity, despite the testimony, despite what Anderson said, despite everything still denies it. Giambi came out and apologized, as stupid as it was, a lot of the media has let up off him, especially in NY where he was getting beat up in the media the same way Bonds is. As long as Bonds denies it and as long as there are unanswered questions he will keep catching shit.
There will always be racism as long as there are stupid people on this planet... So that might be why some people don't like him... But as far as the media and the shit he's getting, there are a lot of other reasons.

There hasn't been one. The media is reporting on what they're receiving just like they do every other story. Just because the information they receive makes Bonds look bad doesn't mean they're out to make Bonds look bad. I don't understand why Bonds and people who support him think that everyone is against him. If they went back and re-tested all his urine/blood samples since he came to SF and found that he was clean, it would be nationwide headlines... The only reason there isn't any positive news to report about him right now is because there isn't any.

Look at Giambi and how big he was at the A's and look how small he is now, he obviously stopped using the steroids. Bonds hasnt gotten any smaller even with all the heat he's catching from the media, personally that tells me he's either still using (rememeber if you failed the roids test, you take another one and then it's public) which i doubt, or his mass has nothing to do with roids. Steroids doesnt give you the ability to hit a ball.
