In an NBC25 exclusive, a story about a controversial message banned from becoming a billboard has struck a nerve on connectmidmichigan.com and the NBC25 Facebook page.

That message, a quote from Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger talking about the extermination of black people.

Both pro-life and pro-choice supporters are trying to answer, "Who was Margaret Sanger?" You can read exerpts of her book, "The Pivot of Civilization" by clicking here. Planned Parenthood outlines who Margaret Sanger was here. A pro-life group outlines who Margaret Sanger was here.

The sign that CBS Outdoor refused to put on one of its Flint billboards quotes Margaret Sanger saying, "We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population."

The group behind the sign, Flint Area Right to Life, says banning the billboard is keeping the truth about Sanger from getting out.

"If you read her biography, she was very much tied to the Ku Klux Klan, to the Nazis, to Hitler. She very much wanted thoroughbreds. That's the word she used, thoroughbreds, and the way to make that happen was to eliminate minorities. She called them weeds in the garden of life," says Judy Climer, director of Flint Area Right to Life.

doesn't even matter if she said it or not they just want to take away the rights of women. It's cool if you support that but hey lets have more 16 child families and hundreds of thousands more single parent families, and back alley abortions, etc.

anyways, these people are retarded because she opposed abortion for the most part:

In a chapter from Woman and the New Race (1920) titled "Contraceptives or Abortion?," Sanger wrote, "While there are cases where even the law recognizes an abortion as justifiable if recommended by a physician, I assert that the hundreds of thousands of abortions performed in America each year are a disgrace to civilization."[32]

Roger Streitmatter has claimed that Sanger's opposition to abortion stemmed primarily from a concern for the dangers to the mother rather than moral issues.[33] Nonetheless, in her 1938 autobiography, Sanger notes that her 1916 opposition to abortion was based on the taking of life: "To each group we explained what contraception was; that abortion was the wrong way—no matter how early it was performed it was taking life; that contraception was the better way, the safer way—it took a little time, a little trouble, but was well worth while in the long run, because life had not yet begun."[34]

I think what he's getting at is that she lived 100 years ago when this way of thinking was the norm. And that what she left behind has evolved into an organization which the people in the U.S. benefit from greatly.

she might have founded planned parenthood....but that old bitch is dead and has been for a long time...the views expressed by her then do not reflect the views of society or planned parenthood today....and that comment probably had nothing to do with planned parenthood

but even so....last i checked negro wasnt a bad word

Society was different in 1920 and prior..... She probably was a racist before the word was even existent. But so was the majority of the world. Doesnt make it right... But hell if the bitch grew up on some pro white shit in a time where it was par for the course, how the fuck can we judge anyone from that time period?

And before any of you typing tommy guns say 1 word to me about begin a racist sympathizer, my wife is black & my kids are mixed so suck it easy!

...for real dawgg?

It dont matter if she was saying she wants to exterminate the negro population?

I dunno about that, breh.
see MysticOracle's reply.

If she was a rotten cunt doesn't really matter today that was about 100 years ago. Mr. Ford was a nazi lover and included anti jewish material pamphlets in his cars, but that doesn't reflect on Ford today (and that's a bad example because planned parenthood offers a service for the people, it's not trying to sell anything).

On top of that I don't know if she even said that, I couldn't find any evidence of that quote being true except on that right wing website blackgenocide.org which is ran by a lunatic.

The purpose of this web site is to expose the disproportionate amount of Black babies destroyed by the abortion industry. For every two African American women that get pregnant one will choose to abort.
A Black baby is 5 times more likely to be killed in the womb than a White Baby.

Statistics from The Alan Guttmaucher Institute

"Frankly I had thought that at that time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of."

7/2/09 Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

The most dangerous place for an African American to be is in the womb of their African American mother.

sounds like a problem within the black community, naturally trying to blame whitey for poor choices and irresponsible behavior....the whole site is all basically racist propaganda meant to continue the segregation of america....this is a wonderful link

Despite being legalized nearly 40 years ago, the topic of abortion still raises huge controversy in the US, as some argue it is leading to genocide of the African-American population.
The founder of www.blackgenocide.org website, Rev. Dr. Clenard H. Childress Jr., has told RT that African-American women are being sold abortions.

“Seventy-eight percent of all Planned Parenthood’s clinics – abortuaries as I call them – are located in minoritiy neighborhoods. The targeting of African-Americans has now been documented,” he said.

He has added that, according to statistics, African-American women make up 12% of the population and 36% of the abortions.

“Presently, for every two African-American women who get pregnant, one will choose to abort. Fifty-two percent of all African-American pregnancies end in abortion,” he said.

In addition, current US President Barack Obama is backing abortions, as he had voted four times against the Born Alive Victims Act, the pastor noted.

obviously is a class issue not a race issue. If you're rich first off you have easy access to birth control and second it's mostly wonderful to have a child when you're world is all peaches. if you're poor as fuck and struggling to make it, yeah it's going to be a very hard road to add a baby to your situation so obviously an abortion is more likely

Its not like they are forcing abortion on the black/hispanic population. Its that stupid fuck people are busting nuts and not stepping up to the fucking plate and handling their responsibility afterwards.

i've done public affairs work for different health organizations including Planned Parenthood and this has no reflection on what the organization is about, they've acknowledged that Margaret Sanger said this, but in those days, like someone said earlier, this way of thinking was the norm and is not at all what the organization is about. This was said almost a century ago, we dont ever talk about our countries forefathers exterminating the entire native american population do we?

on abortion, has anyone ever read freakanomics? Legalized abortion paved the way for the reduction of violence in the 90's and 2000's. Babies that would have grown up in a shitty environment that would have molded them into criminals, werent born. Sounds kinda weird and ominous in a way, but hey the crime rates dropped.
