yeah, but hip hop graffitti and most of the techniques styles, slang and all of hip hop is uniquely American and originated from America so someone from across the sea tryna tell us about it...I don't know it doesn't work. Zerg rush and shit like that are game techniques, from a game made in America, aerosol spray is just that serosol spray, and Turjikstan weren't the first people to make music. Find a better example, like me trying to tell you about rugby or some shit...I bet you'd look at me like a damn fool.

Banksy = Lady Gaga of graffiti.

Thats pretty harsh, seeing that Lady Gaga is a hollow piece of pop art while at worst Banksy is a slightly amusing post-modernist. I think Banksy gets a lot of hate because of having douche bags as fans. Like I can see some one who mistakes Lady Gaga's generic pop as being artsy because she dresses different as also being a Banksy fan. But I don't think that makes Banksy any less interesting or relevent. No one has done what Banksy has done, whether or not it's interesting to you. Everything Lady Gaga does has been done before. Thats her thing. She's a walking collage of pop singers with no substance behind it. Personally I like Banksy, not because he's a master of graffitti (which he's not) but because he presents interesting ideas in interesting ways and thats all that matters to me.

I was exaggerating for the most part.

I know what you are saying, graf was invented in the US, but that doesn't mean there are not any highly skilled artists out there, only in the US, that would be silly.

Use soccer for example, shit was invented in England but they suck dick at it and now the whole world are experts. They had the same mentality of 'fuck you don't tell us about soccer, you don't know shit we will rape you' kind of stuff and didn't participate in the world cup till later.

Thank you Elemeno, someone with knowledge can look at Lady Gaga and say ok well how about Bjork, Karen Dreijer Anderson, Madonna, etc. Someone can look at Banksy with knowledge of the artist and art and see no one did what he did or thought to take graffiti art and political graffiti art to his level. And also, how could he have sold out, one of the reasons dudes get up is for the fame, what's more famous then what he does.
