I'd agree with this, but I don't think Banksy can sell out. He/she/them, I believe, have been out to "make it" since he/she/them came on the scene.

do you know how many thousands of people were doing stencils when he blew up? thats the easiest shit in street art. you find an image, print it out, cut it out and go spray shit.

theres no way he knew people would actually deconstruct buildings just to get a piece of his art. brangelina paying $600,000 for his paintings..
ive seen dude turn down ridiculous amounts of money before he reached "sell out" mode as you put it

banksy set himself apart. and that was just on the graf tip.
excluding his other exploits (hanging his own art in famous museums, etc)

Banksy = Lady Gaga of graffiti. Or should I say "street art" since that's the politically correct way to describe his/her/their work when you're trying to legitimize it.
