Overview:

Bandana Tha Ragg is one of the last of the young front liners hailing
from Compton, CA. At 28 years old, Bandana grew up in the midst of
the height of the gang warfare that plagued the streets of L.A. in the
1980's and early 90's. As an entrepreneur and hustler, Bandana
quickly created a name for himself from Compton to the Bay Area and
began his career in music just a few short years ago.

Respected in the streets, Bandana was approached by basketball star
Baron Davis and skateboarding legend and film maker Stacy Peralta to
be a primary focal point of their groundbreaking and award-winning
documentary Crips & Bloods: Made In America. With his star quickly
rising, Bandana saw his opportunity to capitalize off of this "hood
fame" and applied his hustling techniques to the art of music and has
been establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in
underground rap. Bandana was quickly noticed by Bay Area underground
rap legend Coolio Da Unda Dogg (best known as close friend with and
one of the founders of the late Mac Dre's Romp and Thizz movement) and
they joined forces to create an alliance from LA to The Bay. Soon
thereafter, Bandana would hook up with A-Wax and Pie-Rx Recordz
through mutual friends and the bond between the two powerhouses would
be unbreakable.

Bandana has released three mixtapes in the last year with his most
popular being "Burgundy Van Music" a collaboration with Pie-Rx C.E.O.
and iLLBURN / Konvict Recording artist A-Wax. "Burgundy Van Music" is an ode to legendary underground producer Jake One's "White Van Music" and is
rapped entirely over his instrumentals. The mixtape was so well
received that it was apparent that Bandana would need to continue his
musical endeavors in spite of the hostile climate of the music
business.

His latest offering, "On Ya Head" is a solid, mixtape / street album
which showcases not only his lyrical abilities but his wide subject
matter and smooth delivery. In this release, Bandana is joined by rap
legend Redrum (of Bangin' On Wax fame), of course his rap crime
partner A-Wax as well as several of his Los Angeles and Compton
cohorts his Pie-Rx Recordz label mates as well as some of San Diego's hottest artists Macnificent, Juice Lee and Baby Bandit...get right or get left,
because Bandana is...ON YA HEAD!
