This project feels really forced and rushed. Crooked I had the dopest verse on the album. I'm not feeling all the yelling and random half bar double time lines out of now where. I'm actually a Em fan but didn't like Recovery but I liked Relapse. Em is still off beat on the fast flows you can still tell he is new to it and he needs to master that shit. Royce killed most of his verse and outshines Em on this one.

Eminems first emo song was "The Way I Am", and he's had several others on each album. Songs to which he tries to make it seem like his life is terrible, and relatable to average people.
you serious? thats just a song about his personal shit. i wouldnt say it's emo. all he's saying is he's a human being like everybody else. good song too. but i've seen you dont like eminem so i would like to hear it from a person who liked them then changed there tone cause he went "emo" when he didnt at all.

I used to be a big Eminem fan, from 98' till Eminem Show. Looking back on the material now, it was bullshit. He was rapping about not wanting to be pop, and hating publicity, but he was Pop, and he continued to embrace that crowd even though he didn't have to. His skill level compared to other pop-emcee's was above average, and has been, but people call him the best because he's the most popular. His name has been pushed with millions of dollars behind it.

Eminem is considered the best because hes done it all during his career. Most albums sold, most consistent, respected battle rapper/freestyle artist and he also just made a lot of great music. some of that is just my opinion...but oh well

his singles (until recently) NEVER had radio friendly content.

"My Name Is" pure controversy
"Real Slim Shady" ^^same
"The Way I Am" doesnt sound like anything else that was ever a hit song
"Stan" a story (which dont usually get used as singles) that has someone killing themselves and their pregnant girlfriend

the list goes on. even his "pop singles" have verses that arent very radio friendly.

it wasnt just his name that was being pushed with millions, other artists have that and will never be considered one of the best. dude had rhymes and everytime he was even on a track with a considered great he would smash em on there own shit. i dont personally consider him the best but the quote below me has all the reasons i wanted to say why he is to alot of people. by the way he never really embraced his fans but for some reason most of his fans i think liked that about him. the song the way i am is a big fuck you to his crazy ass fans. all he does is rap about persoanl shit that bugs him but he's considered emo. what about 2pacs shit? is he emo too or is it because he's dead that he gets the pass? i just dont see why people hate his new "emo style" when all he really changed was his accent which i thought was corny to begin with. all his lyrics have that same feel to it and yeah he doesnt have alot of slim shady type lyrics anymore but he stated he was done doing that anyway. again i see nothin in your post that convinces me he is emo and no1 on here has explained why either. maybe some people should go back to recovery and really listen instead of basing things off what features he has on it or what songs may sound like at 1st verse.

i like double time rap and this album was great except a few joints at the end where they get kinda go pop faggot

im enjoying "im on everything" that shit is great also "the reunion" and " a kiss"

there was a line where em said something about lady gaga that had me crackin up....somethin about if she worked for the post office and when quit she would still be a mail lady....

theres a lot of clever shit onthis album at fast pace...as far as them trading back and forth...i think it works well for them, they both have a unique style, em really shined to me though...and i havent liked much of his since his beginning...his first album was cool..his second album is classic, his third was good and everything else *turd*

this was a sick album. im looking forward to giving it a second spin later. i think this is some of the best em has sounded, good flows and lyrics. royce was tight as usual, but not quite up there with em imo.

this is a forum not a fucking english class. if you really cant read that then maybe your the one who needs the refill my friend. and besides you have no value in your opinions regarding what i'm talking about so dont even bother reading it. everything i've been asking and no1 really had a good reply so i'm gonna take it as people just hating to hate and now i know i'm not losing my mind.

You already said it yourself.

i honestly dont see how eminem was emo on any of his cds. he had like one emotional song on recovery and it was for his dead best friend. there was one other song that seemed it but then he killed the bitch at the end. and relapse was pretty fuckin wicked. i dunno maybe it's cause a fan that i'm blind to it but maybe give examples cause i truely dont hear it.
If you thought Recovery had zero emo songs then I won't waste my time trying to convince you otherwise. That was the prime example of his emo/techno hype imo.

^^^which songs are emo and what is emo to you? because emo to me is songs about chicks breaking up with you and shit like those emo punk pussies. he got none of them on here. is only emo type song is Love the way you lie and thats just on some persoanl shit.

0R0 you didnt explain what was emo about the cd. your just saying it without any reason. atleast i'm giving my reason here. heres an idea write out the emo songs and why they are emo so i can see what people are saying.
