Ive had custody of my daughter for almost 8 years now. My daughters mom racked up about $7500 in back child support so for the last few years I have been enjoying this time of year because thats when I get her tax return and I have also received all of her stim checks over the last few years. I get $205 a month and an extra 25 on top to pay the back child support. I also live in Washington state, one of the WORST places to be a man and attempting to get custody of your child.

My advice:

Parenting Plan

For all you single dads, if you dont have a parenting plan GET ONE! If you dont have one, then its left up to support enforcement to calculate your child support and they DO NOT take into account the time you spend with the child. This is called a "residential credit" and you are entitled to it.

Once the parenting plan is set, they will have to recalculate your child support. if your custody is 50/50 then you dont have to pay shit. But YOU have to pursue this as they will not do it for you. There are free programs to help you get the paperwork filed. This also ensures that you have your holidays and visitation without having to put up with your BM's bullshit.

Funny side note:

When the judge entered our parenting plan, he also signed the "residential agreement" for my daughters mom and this would lower her child support to $102 a month, but her lawyer was so stupid he never filed it and she never got the credit. I have told her about this trying to help her out and she is just too lazy to do it. Dummy.....

Nope once you in there paying it cant get cut off unless you get married or the female signs some type of legal document(some ladies will do it for a lump sum of money) Like I knew a few althletes that gave a bitch a $50,000 check for her to waive child support order for good.
