Mayne... it's true... this shit is fuckin with my head cuz all of a sudden everyone hyping this album something crazy so I'm having to put it on repeat to see what I missed.

There were mixed reviews on this CD up on here, and from me, but since its been known the Savage going to be up on the Siccness suddenly I heard nothing but hype. That's not real.

I'm confused - I got mad respect for B-Legit, got every one of his CD's, I got two or three copies of some of them, hell I even cop that bootsy one last year cats put out in his name.

I get everything Bila up on and it's the shit, and it's a blessing to hear he be on here, but come on now folks, why is it talking shit to critique a CD? Why everyone suddenly biting their lip?

The balance of views on this album changed since DJ Pimp said Bila be up on here. I know industry cats praising his hustle but I consider myself a fan and would rather be true about my view.

I ain't trippin off wanting to stick in the past and hear mobbish Mike Mosley beats, I just said I didn't like the Down South cuts because I didn't feel it complimented B-Legit style.

I can dig Southern beats, the new David Banner joint goes hard, but really I couldn't feel any of them crunk beats Bila got on, maybe it was the production but I have to skip that shit.

I respect reaching out to all areas. But let me throw in my two cents and point out that buzz when Whatcha Talkin dropped, it was a West coast style, it slapped, I was trippin off that.

That was for his last album and I was way more hyped about that due to that tune. I copped 3 or 4 copies retail to get it out over here and I wasn't disappointed, tracks all bumped.

This time Block 4 Life got that buzz but check the album and its a bunch of slow Southern cuts. I didn't enjoy hearing Savage spit on that so besides 4 or 5 nice tracks I was disappointed.

Ain't no one call me a hater because I'm explaining my point, I just think we should keep it real on here, show love to a boss but not just turn to cheerleaders because he's going to post.

In actual fact I respect what DJ Pimp said a minute back where he was 'If I like it, I say, If I don't, I keep that shit to myself'. That's true but the hype on here at the moment is misleading.

i think in this day and age cats on the net have no problem sayin if they like a record or not since their at home on their keyboard knowing they can say whatever they want with no harm done. i've heard good and bad shit about every record i ever reviewed. i said young dru had the best record of the year and was damn near run out of town for it, i've had many cats tell me BIGGIE's ready to die was garbage and illmatic was trash. i had a fool tell me PAC's Me againts the world was wack, still others have told me they didnt like YA BOY's rookie of the year (one of my favs), so it just goes to show that not everyone is gonna like shit that i like or that you like, but we should always be honest about it. with that said, i think this is b-legits best record to date and i'm one of these idiots that goes to the record store at 12 at night so i can be first in line when a b-legit record drops. i feel he put a lot of work into it, with dope rhymes and tight ass production. i feel so secure in saying that its dope that i'm sending my copy to xxl magazine tomorrow to have them review it. so if you aint copped it, trust me cop it, and if you have u already know what i'm talkin about. from all the cats in the biz i've spoken to it l;ooks like b-legit is sittin on a winner.

Good look, real spit mayne, props for understanding, thats whut I was saying, I been a fan of the Savage since Tryin' to Get A Buck and Down and Dirty and all that good shit like "Cops betta kiss my ass 'foe a n*** like Legitimate blast".

I've copped every album and besides that fake Word Pimpin shit last year it is all straight heat every time Bila get on the mic. I still bust that last Hard 2 B-Legit joint like a classic too so I'm the last person to be negative about dude.

But I had given a mixed review to the new album on here earlier in the week and I wasn't the only one. Then suddenly after the post from the Sav all I saw was cats hyping the CD and asking where the haters had gone, so I wanted to be real about it.

I found the Southern tracks annoying as hell but otherwise it's a solid album and like I said earlier in the week, Bila reaches out to a lot of folks and that deserves respect. To post up on here and explain them tracks was humble and shows how cool mayne is.

I just got it twisted that since y'all posted about Bila cats been shouting about the album and acting like you would only not like it if you hating or stuck in the past. Hell naw, you can respect mans hustle and still be real about how you feel the music.

I hope cats go cop the album anyway and judge for themselves, don't get it twisted, there's some heaters on there too. Good looks to Bila for coming here to speak on it and I hope this shit sell outside the Bay and dude get paid.

But would he please go record Dollar Danglin with 40 already!!!

FO SHO PIMPIN I here you and RESPECT your opinion as well because thats exactly what it is your opinion.... thanks for having the balls to say what you feel just like i had the balls to do something different its the chances you take when your a boss ..."BOSSES DO WHAT THEY WANT SUCKAS DO WHAT THEY CAN" just for the record thogh i get alot of request from my original down south fan base to spit some shit over there beats something like what jay z did wit big pimpin... back when mob was cracking the south didnt have a sound so they barrowed ours they supported to the fullest and now that they do have a sound i tapped in ...its no different then having a raggae song on your album or a east coast feel ..if your a tru artist you should be able
to reach those levels being that music is our only common denominator....
I appreciate the feedback ...also for you to like 4 or 5 cuts i think thats cool because now days fools will give you 1 single and the rest garbage so thats saying alot to me its gravity one 1 THUG

now that's how a boss breaks it down, respectful and honest, a lot of times artists come on here and get mad if people state their true opinions, but bela been in the game long enough, he knows how to handle situations, take criticisms and benefit from it all, it's always a learning experience

Mayne... that's off the hook. I'm trippin off the fact one of my favourite rappers for damn nearly a decade took time to reply.
And you spoke on it boss. I'm blessed to hear such a sensible and intelligent response, that's why you're an OG in this here rap game and cats can learn from you.

Like I said before, even from overseas I cop anything you even breathe on dog, its the same with the new one, and I really did swoop 5 copies retail of Hard 2 B Legit just to peep you to cats out here. So really doe I was only speakin on them South beats but I more than understand your hustle.

I'ma fold on this because you just put that game out there and I ain't going to say nothing else, I know how you got mad love in the South and it shows how much heart you got that you put an album out to touch all your fans AND rolled up on here to speak on that. Not many cats can touch that.

And oh yeah... like you said, its all good that I like 4-5 cuts off that CD, believe dat, its so real when you say other fools got 1 single and the rest garbage - I hear ya, don't get it twisted I'm bumpin that new shit, you still on top, it was only a comment because y'all set the bar so damn high with each release!!

But really... to show my love for y'all effort to reach out and post here (its a trip, from this distance we don't ever see the cats we consider legends in the rap game) so I just went and copped the Block Movement T-shirt from RapBay.com.. I'ma get that shit crackin and try and put it out there worldwide.

Co-sign... I been reading BART and tha Siccness enough to know that some cats handle themselves differently and some lose their audience overnight with the way they act up.

But B-Legit has always been a legend since I first copped 40 and started scrambling for his folks CD's back in the day, and to see Bela up on here being so real and respectful right now...

That's regal behaviour mayne, dude really is a savage, he know how to conduct himself and he reaching out to his fans whilst explaining his business sense. Dude deserves every success.
