heres a quote from ************...a few weeks ago

"We have received a press release from Rap-A-Lot Records which includes a statement from CEO J.Prince regarding comments made by Bay Area legend, JT The Bigga Figga.

It was recently reported that West Coast artist JT the Bigga Figga was crowned President of Rap-A-Lot West by James Prince, owner of the legendary Rap empire. This story had recently surfaced in various Hip-Hop publications. Where JT was quoted as saying “It was crazy, J-Prince called me at like 3 in the morning with the idea”.

After catching wind of this rumor from various sources the record was set straight by J.Prince himself. “As for the Bay Area, if anyone needs to be crowned for holding down Rap-A-Lot, that individual would be none other than the Oakland native Yukmouth. Who's been representing Rap-A-Lot in the Bay Area for several successful years”.

According to the press release, there have been meetings to discuss setting up an independent distribution network which focuses on up and coming artists. Rap-A-Lot & Get Low Entertainment would give these artists the push needed to get their foot in the door, at this point the focus still remains the same. "We will continue to go forward with setting up an independent distribution network, minus the titles & positions as previously stated," said Prince.

We'll be bringing you more on this situation as it unfolds"
