B.G is a southern legend, if not only for his music, but sheer grind and persistence. Not only has he recently signed with close friend T.I’s Grand Hustle record label, but whispers around the industry say a reunion between he and Juvenile may come about as well. “Me and Juvie had a Mother’s Day bash [there] and he asked me to get on his [next] album,” B.G. said a couple weeks back in Miami. “He got some things he wants me to do with him. And I got some things I had already heard him on with my album; we just haven’t seen each other ‘cause I been working and he’s been working. But it was a beautiful thing — me and Juvie hadn’t seen under the same roof together in some months.”
B.G also spoke of his newest album “Too Hood to be Hollywood”, scheduled to release in early September. It will feature his new Grand Hustle family (T.I) and also Young Jeezy. It will also receive production from superstar producer Scott Storch and underground favorites The Justice League. B.G also spoke of somehow getting Mannie back in the studio and what that would mean to him.
“I was just in the studio with Fresh and Tip the night they did ‘Big Things Poppin’,’ ” said B.G. “And me and Fresh got a funny relationship, but it’s all love at the end of the day. He knows I just get emotional when I see him working with other artists and he ain’t been to work with me yet. I gets mad. [He laughs.] But I’m doing what I’m doing, staying focused.”
