ok...hmm...you have to pay to get on radio right? TV too? Basically, you pay to get advertised. I am sure if you were to drop a mixtape with whatever no-name DJ you know, the odds of it selling more than 3 digits on a major scale are low. These DJs, however, actually are known in ALL 50 states....DJ Drama, DJ Whoo Kid....etc. So if people pick up the mixtape becuz of the DJ name, you will be promoted (advertised), IF you have a good song....think of it that way.
