WHAT? We are one of the youngest teams in the league with most of our core players locked up for years to come. Not to mention atleast another 4 more season of Harbaugh. GTFO!! That window will only get bigger each year especially if Alex gets better.
not to mention harbaugh changed the culture in sf/sc and the way the NFL players view it. Free agents will be a lot easier to convince to make the move to the bay area. Something the raiders will have trouble doing, look at their head coach vacancy, for as storied as the raider fan claims their franchise is. it would make you think every coach would be fighting to get a shot at coaching for the organization. Not the case though seems like not many coaches are interested in the job.

seems not many coaches are interested in the Raiders job?

what makes you think that. the only coach we attempted to interview who backed out was McCoy, Denver's OC... and that's only because he thought he was a favorite for the Miami job after previously agreeing to interview with the Raiders. you don't know what you're talking about. any HC candidate will probably be interested in any HC job available. maybe not quite so much in previous years with Al Davis running the show, but much more likely now

not much in oakland has changed, a new gm isnt enough in my opinion for a top tier coach to be willing to make the jump to oakland. As stated before not many free agents are interested in the city of Oakland. Also the coaching carousel alone is enough for a HC to shy away from that organization. Coaches want to know and believe they will be with a team for at least a few years not out of the picture in a season or less. 2 coaches going 8-8 and they're ran out of town. Do you think the oakland fan base will have patience with a new HC who may have to rebuild his team and to do so suffer a 6-10 season. Not the ideal situation for HC with a lot of options.

not much has changed??? lmfao... it's only been 10 days since McKenzie got hired! gtfoh! that's not enough to change anything. we haven't even hired a coach yet. everyone knows A LOT is going to change in Oakland. If you don't think huge changes are coming Oakland, you don't know shit about the Raiders (OBVIOUSLY you don't)

everything in your post has no solid evidence backing it, just your hate driven opinion. there hasn't been one coach the Raiders have considered that has not shown interest in the job up to this point. McCoy backed out, but as I previously stated, that was because he thought he was gonna get the Miami job, and didn't wanna ruin his chances by interviewing with the Raiders.

if the Raiders had been getting denied by a lot of coaching candidates, you'd have a valid point, but that's not the case. the team is going to be ran COMPLETELY different now with McKenzie running the show. therefore the coaching carousels, the drama, and everything in the past is basically invalid.

you don't know what you're talking about. please just stop.

never said anything was going to change in 10 days, find where i said that in my post. What I mean is that getting the new GM isn't going to fix all the problems in the Raiders Organization like most raider fans think it will. as for me hating, LOL @ you. I have no hate for the Raiders, actually wish they do well but i just don't see it happening anytime soon. The negatives on the franchise at this moment out weight the positives. From bad contracts, to insufficient draft picks, and not to mention a crappy stadium situation. All things that go hand and hand in competing in today's NFL. So my question to you is why would a HC with A LOT OF OPTIONS choose the raiders?? If McCoy was so intrigued by the raiders he would be willing to risk his job he had with the dolphins which he never got. He didn't see the raiders worth the risk though and prefered to gamble and place all his money on the dolphins. I'm just giving you my opinion Im not Adam schefter, take it how you want to take it.

you said not much has changed in Oakland. things are GOING to be changing in Oakland, that's the opinion shared by EVERYONE. McKenzie running the shows instead of Al Davis = change... however the change is about to happen... it has not happened yet. if you don't expect things to change in 10 days, then how the fuck can you say "not much has changed in Oakland" and use that as part of your argument? use your head here bro

What I mean is that getting the new GM isn't going to fix all the problems in the Raiders Organization like most raider fans think it will.
explain?? obviously the GM has to prove himself, but what problems can he not fix? you don't base your opinions on anything

as for me hating, LOL @ you. I have no hate for the Raiders, actually wish they do well but i just don't see it happening anytime soon.
I've seen you hate on the Raiders plenty of times, don't give me that bullshit

A LOT of options??? how many options are out there? the Raiders have been 8-8 for 2 seasons, and were on the verge of making the playoffs. a coach would choose the Raiders because he knows the teams is close to making the playoffs. make some roster moves on defense, instill some discipline to cut back the penalties, and a defensive system... you've got a playoff team. especially in a division with no great teams to compete with... what team that NEEDS a head coach right now is a better option than the Raiders??? <----- please answer that question!

Because McCpy thought he had a BETTER chance to get a job with the Dolphins... as I stated TWICE. Nobody really thought McCoy was a top candidate for the Raiders anyways... he probably didn't think he was a top candidate, so he figured he wouldn't be missing out on anything by walking away, especially when he WAS considered the #1 choice for Miami, obviously that changed, but that was reported last week.

I understand you're just stating your opinion, but your opinion is based on nothing

Everyone?? who is everyone?? Raiders fans or the same NFL analysts who predict who will win the super bowl at the beginning of every season and are off by 10 miles. I see more GM's flop than i see GM's that succeed.

I clearly stated they wont be fixed anytime soon, I would assume a coach wants a team where he thinks he can win with now.
I've seen you hate on the Raiders plenty of times, don't give me that bullshit
hate on the raiders?? never go look back and look at this entire season and find me a post where im hating on the raiders

A LOT of options??? how many options are out there? most of the teams that still need coaches have been terrible of the past couple years. the Raiders have been 8-8 for 2 seasons, and were on the verge of making the playoffs. a coach would choose the Raiders because he knows the teams is close to making the playoffs. make some roster moves on defense, instill some discipline to cut back the penalties, and a defensive system... you've got a playoff team. especially in a division with no great teams to compete with... what team that NEEDS a head coach right now is a better option than the Raiders??? <----- please answer that question!
Not sure if the Bucs have a head coach but i believe that would be a better option, also just because their isn't any more spots open doesn't mean a head coach is going to force himself into a bad situation. He can always go back to his old position and wait for openings the following year. Also seems like your satisfied with getting a head coach by default. I prefer to get a head coach who wants to coach my team and chooses my team over other options.

Because McCoy thought he had a BETTER chance to get a job with the Dolphins... as I stated TWICE. Nobody really thought McCoy was a top candidate for the Raiders anyways... he probably didn't think he was a top candidate, so he figured he wouldn't be missing out on anything by walking away, especially when he WAS considered the #1 choice for Miami, obviously that changed, but that was reported last week.
you're the one who brought up Mc Coy so i used him as a example. So who is your top candidate at least in your opinion because most of the top candidates in EVERYONES opinion like you like to state are already gone?? Or are the raiders waiting for a head coach from one of the 4 remaining teams, thats the only way what your GM is doing makes any sense. If your coach is avaible to sign already and hasn't been signed then your GM is just killing valuable time. Last time i checked we got a senior bowl going on and scouting is going to begin asap. I would think a coach should have a little input in that.

Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, and Oakland... I believe those are the only teams with coaching vacancies, I think. Respectively those teams finished with 4 wins, 5 wins, 2 wins, and 8 wins

that's not A LOT of options like you said. and the Raiders were better than all those teams last year. The only one that might be more desirable is Indy because a coach may want to work with Luck.... you could argue Tampa Bay... Jacksonville? fuuuuck no

I'm not saying McKenzie will hands down be a great GM... I'm saying he will bring CHANGE... that is a FACT

how? he already said he is going to run the organization completely differently than in the past. so unless he's being a flat out liar... then change is coming. whether or not he's successful, we'll see. however, you can't argue change is coming

in previous years Al Davis picked his head coach, assistant coaches, drafted who he wanted, got who he wanted in FA, ran the defense he wanted, etc....

this is no going to happen now. RM already said he will let his head coach pick his own staff... that alone makes it more desirable to coach the Raiders than it has in the past. if you can't see that you are blind
