well i feell you are an official artist or rapper, when you get respect for others in the bussiness, and you become dedicated to what you do.
1. i feel that the quality of your music is most important., because consumer's don't wanna buy poor quality shit.
2. havin locals talk about you, becuase once you have people talkin bout you, and lookin for your name, then more people will come to your shows, and you can build a fan base.
3. rockin a show. you gotta give the poeple what they want, and when you've done that on stage, then you're a complete artist.

your a rapper: whenever you feel your a rapper, if you do it as a hobby only, then rappin is your hobby, when all you do is rap, & your life revolves around your rap, then id say you could be called a rapper.... a rapper to me, normally knows nothin bout the industry or very little, but knows rappin...
your an artist: when you know what people want to hear, and you know how to make people vibe your shit wether live or on cd... your more open minded and think more about what you write or spit lyrically, you also prolly know the bussiness a lil, and make smarter decisions... an artist will sell more units then a rapper usually as well
people respecting you, or liking your muzic still dont make you a artist or rapper.... we all heard the wackest people, maybee even ya homie cant rap at all, but got they lil friends that think he tite.... dont mean he a rapper.... that means he just has an appeal, or alot of money...lol
a composer: someone who knows how to make a beat, and quantatize it and burn it to cd, or upload to mp3....lol
a producer: listens to the exact way he plays what he is playing, add's even the slightest effect or sound to any beat he makes, knows how to pan shit, and what panning actually does.... knows the ins and outs of the software or hardware he uses.... a producer alot of times makes a track that can speak for itself, and basically have it ready for 1 missing instrament which would be the artist or rapper... a smart producer normally should have their muzic with ascap or bmi... a producer prolly finishes his beat, and listens to it in the car, home stereo, and then goes bacc to the studio and makes changes til its perfect.... (this is what differs good producers from composers) a producer doesnt always have to just make beats or know how either, they can or should know how to mix, master, use effects, and have a good ear....

feel u 100 percent weezy. coming with real shit..there are no words. when you just no someone is being genuine with you... telling you the truth sharin there life on a record. i thank every person who buy's or even downloads ... basically anyone who listens to my music. its all luv.. and if it wasnt for the luv of it i'd be retired
I've been told I suck...i've been told I can rhyme tight..just need 2 work on the delivery..some people feel my shit..some people don't...hell I even did a show ...been in a magazine ..and have a small fan base...I have'nt released a cd yet..mostly promos..and I do believe i'm a rap artist.... 2003 will be my year
