i never claimed to follow or believe in atstrology. although i would consider myself muslim, i am a student of life, and am open to learning though all viewpoints and ideas. in my transpersonal psychology class we talk about astrology for fun sometimes, and i must say its very interesting stuff when its looked at in depth.
I feel you, sometimes there are things I like to open my mind to, but not to a point where I'll get carried away.

^right. you should open your mind to all things. that doesnt mean you have to accept them or follow them, but you can still learn something from them, even if it is something you completely disagree with. there are different levels of learning.

Nav, most of the stuff you said since we first spoke on the Stupid thread about the Islam thing I made, most of the stuff you said to me, is hard to disagree with.

Exactly my thoughts about God, you just need to replace the words 'looking at the stars' with 'Gods divine wisdom' or something like that.

this brings up a question IMO.
Does God create how each of us are built and how our personalities and understandings are? or do we mold ourselves?

from my perspective it seems kind of difficult to answer, because the objective of "all having a purpose" , or "being born for a reason" should imply that God built us as he wants us, but i know its all gained through experience and how you react to your own life/reality.

this question is for all btw, not hutch cuz i already know his answer

Did God make Adam and Eve so that they could turn against him?

i dont know did he?

he already knew where they would end up, and what it would mean for the rest of the humans before they were created, and he still created them.
what about Satan? according to your logic, God already knew what satan was gonna end up doing and what it would mean for "Gods children".

Jesus Christ, so then if you're gonna try to reason with me with reason other than Biblical Scripture, It's not going to work either. Unless we can both Mutually agree that we understand one another.

lol i know that you claim jesus christ is his son, but im saying if i dont believe he was his son, then claiming he was his son because if the Christian Bible says he is, then there is no support for your arguement really.

but wow, i understand you.
that, how both of our world views are valid to us, and yet completely wrong to the other will for sure doom humanity in finding one religion.
but ok man i understand what you are saying. we shall move on.

this isnt divination like tarot cards or like the oiuja board, this only tells you what the planet positions were recorded to mean on the date of your birth, based on different planets and houses representing different characteristics of a man.
in the end they all together make one big picture of him.

but ok, if anybody wants to try it go to www.astro.com and click on Portrait to type in your info .
Again, this is divination, and most people who practice it will agree with me.

but it isnt like having to shuffle the card until you are sure your judgement doesnt affect the order the cards are in, and then give you an accurate reading, this is just saying what the date means according with the positions of planets n such. but i understand where you are comming from.

lol, well said Hemp.

What's the difference between God and any other esoteric beliefs? They are all untestable hypotheses regarding metaphysical phenomena, each of which have absolutely no evidence supporting their existence.

1000 years ago man did not have the ability to test DNA. Does that mean DNA is a myth? No. How do YOU expect for people to test the metaphysical? Could it be that scientist have not figured out the proper way to do it?

Good point - several metaphysical beliefs may be true but our ability to test such hypotheses are currently limited. If that is the case though, why do you refuse to believe in astrology or other forms of divination yet so freely believe in God? When does one untestable metaphysical phenomena become more 'true' than any others?

I don't believe in Daily Horoscopes.

They are basically a computer program spitting out different combinations of bullshit.

Monday- "Be aggressive in business, be cautious in your personal life, stick with your old habits and established ways"
Tuesday- "Be stoic in business, and be aggressive in your personal life, look for new opportunities"
Wednesday- "Be indifferent in your business affairs, and recluse in your personal life. New opportunities will not materialize"

I don't disagree with the idea that our bodies, which are 69% water, could be affected in some way, shape, or form by the moon or lunar cycles.

People who know astrology well, and know me at least casually tag my sign the first time at least 9 times out of ten.

And though I don't really know shit about it, for example I can tag an Aries almost every time after getting to know someone.

No, not really. From an astrological perspective, Pluto is still there so it won't affect the readings. If we collided with another galaxy though, and it resulted in Pluto being knocked out of orbit, then it would have consequences for astrology. I think Plutos role in astrological predictions is relatively small though.
