Assault with deadly weapon: A 32-year-old man had been drinking most of the day when he was hit over the head with a plastic bottle sometime between 4 and 9 p.m. Wednesday at Lafayette Park, in the 100 block of East Worth Street. The man was taken to San Joaquin General Hospital and treated for his injuries, according to the police report. The man described his attacker to police as being a Latino man about 26 years old standing about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a red baseball hat, a burgundy long-sleeved shirt with "Jordan" in white letters, and red pants
