How So? heres how it breaks down

QB = Raiders Reason: Depth, When JR sees the bench, the Raiders have a former pro bowler to lead

RB = 49ers Reason: Gore is a probowler, Neal has paved the way for LT and Mcgahee, but Norris Led Gore to a franchise rushing record. DMAC is about as unproven as coffee is and Michael Robinson has proven to be a pro bowl caliber special teamer.

WR = 49ers Reason: deepest WR Core in recent memory, Javon hasnt done shit in years, Isaac Bruce still plays at a high level.

TE = 49ers Reason: Depth, Vernon Davis may not be the best catcher, but hes a great blocker, and Delanie Walker contributes as a trick kick Returner, and as a former WR, he has very good hands, Bear Pascoe was considered the best blocking TE in the draft, and he can catch as well.

OL = 49ers Reason: Staley has shown he is on the way to becoming a pro bowl tackle, and Heitmann is one of the best, Rachal showed to be a beast in his playing time, Marvel Smith is a pro bowler when healthy, Baas is playing well and is in a contract year.

DL = Raiders Reason: 49ers run a 3-4 and have no NT, that pretty much makes the rest of the guys useless....

LB = 49ers Reason: Willis and Spikes are pro bowl caliber talents, Manny Lawson is returning for his 2nd year back from his knee injury ala julian peterson, and should have a breakout year, Parys Haralson had 8 sacks last year and shown he can rush the passer

CB = Raiders Reason: Harris out for year, leaves Clements and either Bly or Brown.

S = Draw a buncha unproven players here except michael lewis
K = Draw

P = Draw
Coaching = 49ers Reason: Cable has had no success in the nfl or college ranks as a HC
I agree with Chree's list except for RB & TE

RB: Fargas, McFadden & Bush proved last year that they can do great in this zone blocking system they had with a fullback leading charge, but all were injured including FB (except bush who was returning from injury) and now we have Lorenzo Neal, so their numbers will get even better. The question is staying healthy. This is no knock on Gore. Right now individually he shits on all 3, but the Raiders ability to switch it up with such good backs gives them the advantage.

TE: Zach Miller has proven his consistency and has been the go to man for the Raiders. That may or may not be intentional with Russell kinda throwing it to him all the time and not really to anyone else, but it could just be him being good and getting open. Vernon Davis is a beast on Madden, too bad he doesn't really do shit in the NFL aside from getting injured.

the only thing i have to say on the subject is no way the punters are even its sad to say but lechler has been the best statistical punter in the league since he came into the league just go and look at the records he would hold if he were to retire right now best punting average ever and shit like that puts him above the 49ers punter but the rest i kinda agree on except rb because its better to have more versatility like the raiders have

and on Madden, his ratings are the best too! but seriously, the only way i'd be happy to have a badass punter is if our offese really sucked. but a good punter is a plus to have. especially a coffin corner punter.

The Raiders. Quarterbacks JaMarcus Russell and Jeff Garcia have more promise and/or acumen than Shaun Hill and Alex Smith. The Raiders' running back committee of Darren McFadden, Justin Fargas and Michael Bush has the ability to give them more than Frank Gore (for all his heart) gives the 49ers. Zach Miller is a more reliable pass catcher than Vernon Davis. They have one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL in Nnamdi Asomugha. And their kicking game is superior.

i'm just saying. let the games begin!

only people that would disagree are simply whiner fans.. anyone who is a fan of the NFL would agree point blank.. not that this means anything or translates Ws on the field

chree was mostly correct... except for rb and te the raiders >>>

and punter the raiders >>>
Last years TE stats. its hard to compare miller and davis, for a few reasons, the type of offenses ran, the kind of players they are.

Miller 56 rec 776 yards 1 td 13.9 avg
Stewart 11 rec 81 yards 0 td 7.4 avg

Davis 31 rec 358 yards 2 td 11.5 avg
D.Walker 10 rec 155 yards 1 td 15.5 avg

So like i said, depthwise, the Niners are stronger than the Raiders, If Walker was the starter he would of had comparable stats to miller, Vernon dropped quite a few long bombs, if he had caught them, he more than likely would have had 500-600 yards, but he didnt get many looks, Miller was JRs security blanket.

and lol at people saying lechler is way better than Lee, stats say otherwise

Lechler (Age 32) 90 punts 4,391 yards 48.8 avg 70 yards longest. 41.2 net yards
Lee (Age 26) 66 punts 3,155 yards 47.8 avg 82 yards longest. 39.6 net yards (1 blocked Punt which lowers average)

Lee is younger, and has improved each year, i believe if he had 90 punts like lechler he would have a better average with his stronger leg

as for Running backs.
Id much rather take Gore,Coffee,Robinson,Norris over Fargas,Dmac,Bush,Neal

Im looking for Kory Sheets to make the team as well.our 3 headed run attack would be Gore,Coffee,Sheets

and remember we have power running offensive linemen now, and thats what our offense is building into

looks like u had 2 Raider fans who disagree with you and the "article"

and that had the Raiders being better in 6 positions
QB,RB,TE,CB,K,P

So they are saying the Niners are better at
WR,OG,OT,C,DT,DE,OLB,MLB,SS,FS?

^ looks like they agreed with everything said except the whole "QB situation" .... though I'd still take my chances with Russell and Garcia over Smith and Hill..

and niners RBs over Raiders RBs?? LOL.. D Mac and Bush could be starters for any team in the NFL.. I like my chances with the Raiders RBs..

Lechler is the best in the game today and has put up HOF numbers just like Ray Guy from back in the days shoulda been in the HOF..

Zach Miller is def. a more reliable TE then 1st round draft pick Vernon Davis who was suppose to be another Tony Gonzalez/Antonio Gates of the NFL..

no words needed for our CB game.. we got the best CB in the league in Aso and CJ is tearin shit up on the other side of the field..

I was about to argue about punters but Andy Lee was 3rd to Shane Lechler's 2nd in the league in punting last year. that and I hella forgot who the punter was for the 9ers so I had to look it up.

as for TE - your back up is slightly better than ours, but Zach Miller is shitting on Vernon Davis period. Yeah, if VD hadn't dropped some balls he'd have more yards......but then that tells you something, HE DROPS BALLS. Point blank Vernon Davis should be better than the level he's been playing at. He should be better than Miller, but right now he is not.

Thats mainly due to poor coaching, Nolan and Martz had his ass blocking way too much, and focused on that more than helping him catch, they should have hired Ed McCaffrey or brought him in to work with Davis catching. Rice needs to be our WR coach as well lol
