no offense but u think a doc called "ghostride the whip" is gonna change anybody's views on hyphy?

that's one of the things dude was making fun of lol
yeah.. I think it will.

That's why we got Sway from MTV to narrate, it was executive produced by Peter Spirer, who has won Oscars. We made a real movie that even my 60 year old mom can watch and learn from.

People can learn anything if it is taught. People LEARN to be racist. People LEARN to hate, but the question is, is what your presenting worth learning and is it accurate. Because being out here (not being from here and moving like you and Sway) the hyphy shit is stupid and based on at the end of the day distructive things. You can spray CoolWater on a pile of shit and sourond it by 2 pounds of rose peddels, but you will still smell that shit. Same with hyphy once a person does the counter research and sees the side you guys didn't paint they will smell the shit you were skillfull enough to cover.

I can understand where you're coming from, but I think being IN the bay, you don't see how much other areas are really interested in what the bay has created. Everywhere in the you go people are saying 'hella', 'thizz', 'playerhater', cats in new york are wearing 'stunna shades', Nump's 'I got Grapes' gets played in Miami all the time, etc etc... all this came from the bay, and all the other regions want to know the story behind it. When I screened the movie in NY, every one got up in standing applause when it finished.

People have made movies about the NY hip-hop story, they've made movies about Dr. Dre and the LA movement, but nobody has made a movie about the Bay - until now.

I agree.....actually I think there are too many documentaries about the same shit......

Your doc does look interesting with all tha shit involving the history of the Black Panthers etc. But the other preview I saw regarding the sideshows looks like clips from all the other dvds I got......

Oh and LOL at a kid that looks related to the gay dude from star trek.....that would explain the other one in the back.....

those are all great projects - but they're DVDs, not movies.

They're created to give existing fans cool footage.

This is an hour and half story that starts in the 1960's and goes to the present. It's made in such a way that someone who isn't that familiar with hip-hop can sit down and learn where the music and culture came from and what it's about.

Similar to what Rize did from Krump.
