If I'm at a comedy show and hear a joke containing "Racial Humor" I'll laugh if it's funny. But there is a huge difference between Racism and Racial Humor. Nobody thought Richards was humorous, but still I wouldn't start pulling straps on dude.

The point is, they were the same situation. However, becuase Kramer made jokes about blackpeople, it was uncalled for. Ashy Larrymakes racial jokes about white people, its funny.

There are plenty of reasons WHY this is, but thats NOT the issue. THe issue is whether is is OK to use racial jokes about ethnic groups that the comedian is NOT apart of. The nature of everyone is different...some may see them as funny and harmless, others my see them as offensive and uncalled for. Everyone has a different perception on things and as an entertainer, speaker, politician,etc..you HAVE to know your audience.

This is true. But Chapelle left for a number of reasons, one being that he felt the racial bookmark was being pressed a bit too much and he didnt like it. its one thing to focus on stereotypes, becuase they are around us all the time and some of them are even true. However, being just flat out racist is completely different.
