This is like saying:

"We used to think the letters in books were black, but now we know that we are seeing the light reflect off of the white pages."

In other words, your statement presumes that God could not have made the stars since they are made out of a combination of gases. What the hell would the stars need to be made out of if God made them?
<sarcasm> oh no, these stars are made out of gas combos. they can't be made by God!! Everyone knows God only makes stars out of dipply kra-flog </sarcasm>

He's a hindu who advocates for all of religion or worship of a deity. Although, I've noticed he's been advocating on the side of Christianity many times, kind of ironic though. In either case one smart man.

I advocate worshipping of the Supreme God, which I see being promoted in various religious traditions. I subscribe specifically to the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, or what is better known in the west as the Hare Krishna movement.

I often advocate on the side of Christianity because the basic principles of theism are there. On the other hand, there are lots of things I disagree with about Christianity. Eternal hell or eternal destruction, an earth that is only thousands of years old, a history of humanity that is only about 6,000 years old, the idea that there is but one guru/link to God for all time ~ those are a few things I don't subscribe to about the Christian religion.

The Bible never says that, it's a creationist theory, and I've gotten to the point that the world may not be 6000 years old, but it's whatever. Small nicks like this shouldn't be automatically associated with Christianity.

I think it depends on how literally you take the creation story in Genesis. Were they literal days or did it mean day = so many millions of years? It does say there was night and morning. So it seems to be literal days.

Another thing I disagree with is the idea that Adam and Eve were the very first people ever. I have the same story in a Vedic text called Bhavishya Purana and it explains that these two people in the garden were a renewal of people. In other words, people existed before them.

The problem is people will say...."well you cant take the bible in its literal form, because they actually meant this, that, and the other"..

but then they take it in its literal form when it comes to the age of the earth..

The bible does not state anything of the age of the earth...

People just take all those verse..."Joseph the son of so-n-so.....who was the son of so-n-so...who was the son of so-n-so"...

and they added em up...and came up with 6000 years...give or take a thousand..

916....what is the Hindu belief? I worked with some Hindu's a couple years back the 2 were totally opposite in character....

1 would show up to work every morning and litterally pray for 5-10 minutes... you could tell he was really in touch with his spirtual side..

the other was my boss who was a racist, biggot (sp?), fucker...that used people for $$$.....didnt seem as spiritual as the other.

Is spirituality a big deal to Hindu's?

Often times people (usually Indian) automatically consider themselves "hindu" because they were raised by parents who considered themselves hindu. So in many cases, "hindu" is synonymous with "Indian" and really means nothing. This is most likely your boss.

What is called "Hinduism" is a very broad culture. A better name of the religious aspect of this Hindu or Vedic culture is Sanatana Dharma, which refers to one's eternal duty or occupation. The Vedic culture engages people of all levels of spiritual realization. For example, some people understand the Supreme Absolute Truth as formless and impersonal, and for them they are simply engaged in philosophical speculation. Others understand the Supreme Absolute Truth as a person with form and thus engage in devotional service. Both people have valid levels of understanding and there are Vedic texts that cater to each.

as far as science disproving the bible i think that since people take the bible so literally and think its so precise there are incosistencies(sp?)...since the stories in the bible have been passed down i doubt the original stories were understood they same way they are now...instead of searching for facts from the stories i think people of faith should focus more on the meaning...i do agree that you shoudnt follow religion blindy but in the same sense i belive in god because i have a relationship with him...its kinda wierd but i think when most christians here evidence against our faith they just tune it out...my belief is that we cannot possibly know god's ways or why he does stuff so i dont waste my time trying to figure it out...its kinda like how people who carry guns are like well id rather be caught with it than without it...i think thats how some people feel about religion like id rather have followed god and when he returns il be in heaven or if he doesnt exist i didnt really loose anything by living a righteous life...my opinions

i certainly agree 100%.
