thag is pretty hardcore and seems like a man on a missions, sometimes i dont know why he even bothers. but i take him far more seriously on the topics of science and theism than people who dont even acknowledge evolution. i mean are you serious, i feel like everyone is conspiring to play a huge joke on me when they take a fuckin a book that anyone could have written over things like the human genome and DNA and common (apparently uncommon) fucking sense.
actually it disgusts me, but i find solice in the fact that these archaic thoughts that have been held since neanderthal buried his friends with flowers will soon go the way of every other religion, that is, into a history book and into books about mythology. jesus will ride along with thor and hercules and santa. but the majority of the world is religious, while many of you same theists proclaim over and over that the majority of people are stupid, lol.
meanwhile science ammends itself, it admits that it does not know the whole reason and meaning of our existence, is constantly explaining away "miracles, is always changing, is always moving towards truth (setbacks to be sure), corrects its own mistakes. and people will still be ascribing to my school of thought, science, generations from now while 10 year old kids all laugh and make fun of how people used to be so vain as to think that this tiny planet and our band of mammals was central to all existence.
if the timescale of the universe was condensed into one calendar year, man arose in the final seconds of the last minute of the last day of the last month. science says there is much more we can seek to understand, religion says, "check, i know everything i need to know, i'm ready to go to heaven now". ironically religion keeps riding the benefits of science while spitting in its face and denying evolution in lieu of something they were conditioned to believe since they learned how to talk. take a minute all you conspiracy theorists and open your fucking eyes. thank you.
