If the Angel's are still in it when they meet up, I know A's fans are going to be sweatin it. I would be...
I actually hope they've already won it, because if they win it in Anaheim, and even if we take 3 of 4 from them you know A's fans will still boast about how they won on our turf. When in reality that wouldn't even be close to what we did in both '04 and '05. Ah well.

I haven't lost ALL hope yet. I am clinging on to what we have left.
If they do happen to take it in Anaheim it won't bother me that much (the celebration, not that we are eliminated). We did it in Oakland, so it is only right they do it to us. Either way, we are still in it!!!

Yup, the A's owe it to the Angels to do it on their home field, but I wouldn't want it that way. I sure as hell hope the A's clinch before that series, because I for one, would sweat it...Texas is tough (vs. the Angels) and the A's OWN the Mariners, so it doesn't look good for Anaheim. :knockout:

The Oakland Athletics are stumbling to the finish line as they try to secure their first AL West title in three years.

They'll try again Tuesday to clinch a tie for the division title when they continue a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field.

Oakland (90-66) missed chances Saturday and Sunday to clinch the division with losses to the second-place Los Angeles Angels. Its magic number remained at two for the third straight day after closer Huston Street blew a three-run lead in the ninth inning of a 10-9, 10-inning loss on Monday.
A tie for the divisional title? can any one explain that to me?... i thought only one team wins a division

if they are tied at end of season there is a 1 game playoff . whomever wins , get the division title. in others words any long as A's win 1 game they will least play that 1 game playoff. if the A's lose of the rest of games left and angeles win all of theml- they win the division
