Sadly, yes. My family is mostly raider fans.. Nothing like yourself, thankfully, but raider fans nonetheless. I will give you guys one thing.. you know how to have a good time..
Take Halloween for instance.. At the Oakland Coliseum, they celebrate Halloween 8 times every year. Every week the fans show up in their costumes with facepaint and pretend to be pirates. Meanwhile, the raiders show up in their uniforms and their pads & helmets and pretend to be a real NFL team.. It's great.

Here's a few reasons for you..
1. This NOT Andrew Walter's rookie season (he's had a year to practice with NFL players before getting placed into a game). Smith was tossed in there without much time to prepare. Smith was also much younger than Walter in his first start, and whether you want to believe it or not, it makes a huge difference.
2. Smith had nobody to throw to. Moss alone is better than Brandon Lloyd and Arnaz Battle combined, even with his half-ass play and his dropped passes.
3. Nolan was a rookie coach last year, coming off a career as a defensive coordinator.. He focused on defense, not offense.
4. Smith's O-line was worse than Walter's. I know the raider line licks nuts as well, but the Niners were wose last year.
5. Mike McCarthy is worse than Tom Walsh as an OC. The play calling was horrendous and they were never prepared, for anything.
6. They had Barlow as their feature back.. Nobody was scared of that clown and defenses were able to prepare for the pass and not have to worry about the run as much. LaMont Jordan isn't a good RB, but people act like he is and they prepare for him. Not to mention Fargas as a change-of-pace back.. That relieves some pressure from Walter. More so than Barlow did for Smith.
Do you need more?
On the real, the two shouldn't be compared. That's all I'm saying. And if you did compare them it should be by this season's performance, not last year's Alex Smith and this year's Andrew Walter. They're both in their second year. But I can see the excuse already.. 'Smith has more experience.' Well if you consider getting knocked on your ass for 7 games to be experience, then I guess you're right. So in that case this season shouldn't be compared either.

As a Niner fan, I wanted that pussy gone immediately. He is one of the WORST play callers in history and he can't prepare his team for SHIT.
