I saw the Roots back in the day when Malik B was still with em and it was off the chain...Talib Kwelli was solid when I saw him in Milwaukee in '03...I saw Rich and MFR perform in a club in MO, and even though it was fuckin packed and everybody was screamin it was still pretty damn good...

Earth Wind & Fire are great live, I saw them back in 97 with Teena Marie - she's a great performer too.

As far as rap goes, Too Short and Tech N9ne are the two best I've seen.
