Ok, it really doesn't matter. I don't think that either of us will get what we want in the end. Our parties our both fucked up.
And yes I pulled that figure out of my ass. But the thing is, if no one on welfare wants to be on welfare why don't more people do what they need to do to change their own circumstances?
There is so much more out there than to feel like a victim, and give up.
If a guy like me, who spent his entire young life in drugs, criminal records, jail time, children, broken familys ect. If I could pull my ownself up, and in spite of all my personal mistakes, and despite all the adversity I was faced with, can rise up and take control of my own life and destiny, then why would you not want more to do it?
Anyways, it doesn't matter. I would be for tax increases, and social programs, if we crack down on illegal immigration, and have a better welfare system that is not abused.
And to me that's what this is about.
I want to be free to make my own way, and not be forced to be happy with subsizing failure.
Maybe a lot of what you think the problem is validated, and maybe we can agree, and I'm all for it. But I want cuts on all fronts.
If you want to cut the waste on my side, and raise taxes, then I'm sure we could compromise. But I also want you to cut the waste out of your social programs that have really not truly helped anyone become better people.
Again I am all about helping the truly helpless.
Unfortantly, neither of our partys are about doing anything that both of us who have clear differences want.
I would prolly go for a lot of your cuts if you would go for a lot of mine.
