My San Diego/LA locals may remember a well-overlooked subculture about 8-10 years ago when mexican males were only rocking muscle shirts.....even if you werent buff you rocked one...

like your homeboy who now dresses like Mr. Capone E....he might have been one of these muscle shirt dudes on the low but wont admit it...

I forgot what they called them cats..someone might be able to remind me...but they was really on that shit in the middle of us laughing at them for bieng fags, and you couldnt tell them shit..because there was a subculture of latina girls who supposedly was digging it.

rockabilly and punk rock shows pop off alot in Tijuana.

so i figure if the subculture still exists its more than likely live and well there.....

its to my knowledge that most latinos/latinas into that music go to venues in Tijuana and not in San Diego because alot of them fools are into bands that are in spanish...

the rebels!!!!!!! LOL student by day.......rebel by night. i had a homie who had mutiple fashions sitting at home. at school he would wear all the popular fits(ecko, lugz, kswiss, sean jean etc.), and when the weekend rolled through he would dress up as a "rebel"(tight/loose black jeans, black boots, a harley davidson t-shirt[with no Harley in sight] rolled up short sleeves[givin u the john travolta Grease look], slicked up hair, and a wallet with a linked chain hanging from your back pocket). lookin back it at now.....dude was kool but he was into himself a little too much. don't talk to him anymore.

lol dude even had a Tejano wardrobe ready for all the cumbias, bailes, y quinceneras.

i don't see the "rebels" around here much but they were popular in the early 2000s.
