No doubt, but no one would listen to it. Think of the NATIONAL RAP SCENE, rappers that are going platinum and got fans all over...you got Ja Rule and Nelly, I don't even really consider them rappers...you got Jay Z, Nas, Eminem, making the most noise in the industry. There are other artists on the come up, but those 5 artists are probly the biggest sellers in the industry, and Eminem is probly at the top. So you loose Eminem, your looking at our nation's hip hop scene being represented by 2 rappers and a bunch of crossover sampling unoriginal synthesizers talkin about they represent hip hop.

Sick wid it, lets talk about A-Wax . When you do an interview, the person/artist needs to have something new, exciting & interesting to say. Being the Asst. Music Director at KPOO I would never interview alot of them cats (Jada, Styles, JD, Cool J & more) because they really ain't got shit to say. They're not what folx are checkin for (talkin about my listeners at KPOO in S.F.). I've interviewed A-Wax 3 months ago. What he had to say is alot more interesting than those I've mentioned and so is Yuk & Bo. You may not agree because radio and video may have brain washed you (not tryin to clown). You know radio/video force feed you shit, but that's not what's always crackin. Some of these Bay Area artist have more national appeal then you may think, but don't really get the chance to show their talent. I've interviewed The LOX, Gangstarr, 50, Cool J, Wu Tang and a couple of more cats. I recently decline an interview with Ja Rule. WAX, YUK & BO can go toe to toe with any artist on the east, so why not give them national spotlight?

Tell me why do you think my statement was wrong or tell me why do those artist I've mention don't have national appeal?

I feel you on that. EVERY YUK interview I read has been insightful and interesting, he dont beat around the bush whatsoever...sometimes when you read interviews on artists they beat around the bush, and its especially bad when its a local artist because they are getting there chance to shine and say something but some dont take advantage.

And let me add this:

Even without Dr. Dre, he made the two classics, Infinite and The Slim Shady EP. Haystack and Bubba Sparx don't have a single song in their entire portfolio that comes close to songs like Infinite, Murder Murder, or Rock Bottom.

Eminem is NOT of the same catagory as Bubba Sparx. Eminem has credibility. Bubba has none.

check this out people: Eminem got the cover like 3 times that i know of, they give him nothin but props and Eminem wants to diss them because he is beefing with one of the owners. yeah, one of the owners of the magazine is white, the other isn't and damn near the whole editorial staff is non-whites.

i prefer XXL slightly over the Source but they are doing the same kinda thing. they aint covering Yuk, A-Wax ect. either.

First of all, I got just as much credibility as you, so don't come at me like my opinion dont mean shit, because that means i dont mean shit, and therefore you don't mean shit. Just cause you are releasing an EP in 2003 doesn't make you some sort o higher authority on music...

Yes, Eminem is white...he is also one of the most talented rappers to hit the scene since Pac...don't play the race card. Haystak would not sell as much because he sucks. Bubba Sparxx sells well, in part because he is white, but also in part because he puts out pretty good material and has excellent producers behind the boards...but not like he's near Em's level anyways...

Don't get it twisted, Em sells tons of albums to a crossover rock/white audience, but do me a favor and elaborate on the truth? Instead of attacking my credibility, let me know what you think is true? Are you saying Eminem don't deserve to be on the radio, he has no talent, and he's only there cause he's white?

And yea, Xzibit do got hella cars, but he really hasn't lost himself if you've heard his last album. Even his singles (Multiply and Symphony) have been hard ass songs that keep it real with hiphop. So read the qoute a little bit more in depth before you speak on it, you can be a rapper and have nice things as long as you keepin it true to the game.

bias standpoint? I really don't see it dogg. Same thing with the vocabulary issue too. What I wrote is not what I want to believe, its what I do believe. It's what a lot of other people believe too. I didn't force it on anyone else (hence the use of "I" as in "I don't really consider them rappers.") But my point was, in my opinon, those are the people that represent hip hop at least on MTV, BET, Clearchannel Radio, etc. If you think Ja Rule, Nelly, P Diddy and the Big Tymers are good representitives that's your opinon, my opinon is that they are crossovers, samplers, and synthesizers...and that Eminem is better than all those names I just mentioned, and he's not just credibility to white people, he's one of the best MC's out there...
