It was supposed to be a full series on Showtime. Too bad they cut it down at the last second to just a movie. Woulda brought some shine to the Bay right before people starting checking out the music scene about 4 years ago.

Thank God Showtime pulled the plug on that crap. Could you imagine HBO's The Wire competing with Showtime's Sucka Free? That aint the Frisco I experienced.

Damn by reading this post I woulda sworn this was actually a successful series. It was a good look for JT and folks but this just in: they cancelled it. Like dude said "That ain't the Frisco I experienced" I can agree with that. If you wanna make a show about San Francisco you got to include the things that make San Francisco one of the greatest cities in the world and not merely a crime story to compete with the Wire and all the other crime TV series out.

^^^agreed. in the sucker free city movie, they didn't film it all in frisco. it was also filmed in l.a. too. that's probably where they was at when they had the bowling alley scenes. but the house that the white family lived in was i think on middlepoint and it's on the left hand side when you go up but it's like at the top or near the top or i think the street name changes but anyways. other than not havin all the scenes strictly in frisco like they should have, i thought it was a good movie and it had that spike lee feel to it that all his movies got and yea like someone said about the end part yea it was sad. i gotta watch that again.

yeah i was sitting backseat rollin a chop in my boys car driving thru the point and it was a trip we saw jt right by the opera house or lil auditorium or whatever on third and then hella randomly sparked the chop five minutes later and look out the window and was right on the corner in front of the white people house with the park right there and the house across the street where the dead prez wannabe gang headquarters was.....the chase seen where they get pulled over looks like potrero hill, but it could be somewhere else im not sure

lol, that's what i was thinkin. ha a wanna be castle lanes in l.a. lol. that's old school. now they got wack ass overpriced condos sittin there. that use to be the spot.

yea straight outta hp was the real deal. kevin epps did a real good job on that movie. i hope makes another one. plus too i like how kevin epps opened peoples eyes about the environmental side of hp too because with everything goin on right now with the shipyard bullshit, its perfect timin. the shipyard is permanently damaged and honestly i wouldn't live over that soil because of the contamination, not to change the subject or anything.
