anybody been in a personal injury lawsuit????

I was in a car accident, we were hit by Yellow Cab, I was taken to emergency, my jaw got all fucked up but I never had to have surgery. I consultated a lawyer, he said I could get about $15K, but I would have to give him 40%. So me and my mom did it on our own. We keep rejecting offers they gave us, it took almost a year and a half. I ended up with $13K without a lawyer!!

Back in 1999 I was in a car accident had a back injury went to teh chiroprator and all then in 2001 I got a $22,000 check for it with doctor and attorney fees already taken out from it, My attorney was damn good.
