I'm not republican, nor am I really a Democrat. But I am a lot more liberal than conservative. I'm in that bracket of lower middle class, and I grew up middle class. We were always hurting for money. We did shit about it. Like my dad went to school again to learn computers so he could get a better job, and mom worked more. We broke ourselves so I could go to college. Meanwhile, there's rich kids dropping out of college because it bores them, and they never have to worry about their education.

Both parties promise a lot and deliver little. When I vote, it's for the lesser of two evils. Last election, I had voted Kerry for that reason.

I am not republican because I don't stand with big business. I'm for a woman's right to choose. I am pro gay marriage, and want the war to end. There are more reasons, of course, but those are very important to me. There's things to do with money. Democrats tend to raise taxes, and Republicans give the rich tax breaks. Either way, the middle class gets screwed.

LOL, the government shouldnt have the right to take our money that we bust our ass off for to give it to some family on welfare with 8 kids where every1 eligible to work WONT because they are lazy fuckers and just want handouts.

i would rather give the rich guy a Tax-Cut so he can spend that tax cut expanding his business, hiring another 10 or 20 people so they can have jobs to drive our economy

taxs are now being put upon the middle class, to help with social programs, in the past it was the businesses' taxes that were used for such programs. And we're a 'rich' society now than we were ever.

it was the lack of labor movements in the US that cuased this shift. the lack of labor movements also caused free trade agreements, and out sourcing to happen. And all while the poor continues to grow in the US. Are all these changes good? you seem to think so, but for me busineses have been getting there way for a while now, without any word from the working class.

An example of business getting there own way, can also be found in how National Health Care is being looked at in this country

DAME FARM HISTORY

This Rhode Island farm was settled in 1786 by Samuel Steere who built the farmhouse ( which still stands , although it has been modified ) and began to clear land. The farm at first was a subsistence farm with a variety of crops to feed the family. These crops included squash, pumpkins, apples, grains such as barley and oats, and of course--potatoes

WHAT? WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO W/ ANYTHING?... WE WERE TALKING ABOUT A FAMILY THAT WORKED ON ITS OWN FARM

AND ABOUT TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH, THEY DONT GO OUT AND SPEND ALL THEIR MONEY, THEY PUT IT IN THE BANK AND LET IT COLLECT INTEREST, THEY DONT BLOW IT ALL AWAY, I GUESS THATS WHY THEY'RE RICH

BUT STILL YOU SHOULDNT TAKE THEIR MONEY TO FEED THESE CRACKHEAD MOTHERFUCKERS ON THE STREETS. ONLY TAXES SHOULD GO TO PUBLIC GOODS, EDUCATION ETC. CUT THE DEAD WEIGHT

Give a poor person some money and they will spend it. Give a rich person some money and they will toss it on the pile with the rest.

Taking an economics class has obviously done nothing for the republican wing in this thread. Trickle down doesn't work, never would work, and wasn't supposed to work.

The point of tax cuts to the rich is not to create more jobs or boost the economy. It is to put more money in the hands of the rich. Sure they SAY it's to create more jobs or boost the economy, but economics, history, real practice has proven it to be false. The same type of people that buy it now are the same people that bought it then. It was a political move, NOT an economic move.

Cutting and pasting does make you intelligent. Next time cite the source you cut and paste from:

I can't believe you fall for that age-old argument that tax cuts to the wealthy stimulate the economy. This is a historically innaccurate and flawed argument that has NEVER proven true. It's more a poor excuse to pull the wool over the sheep's eyes, and nothing more than an excuse for the heartless and greedy. All tax cuts do is diminish social and enviornmental programs which are desperately needed, (look at the tangible costs that result from these programs being cut and tell me which is better for the economy)....

Also, you must have no conscience, b/c I would much rather have my taxes going to support a domestic family in need (rather that a geneocide over in the Mid-East.... (sure some families take advantage of the system, does that mean penalize the majority who don't, and how does subsidizing KBR and other BushCo cronies stimulate the economy for anyone other than those NWO greedy pigs)
