well when i think of buying a laptop.. i usually think about buying at the store where i can see it in person.. try it look at the specs etc. Now online thats a different story cant really do much but go off reviews.
Youre gonna go off reviews anyways, becuase you dont know how it performs. Both store and websites SHOW specs. I giuess i dont see what the major difference is other than paying SHIPPING fees. Read below:
BTW, a laptop is a laptop, no matter WHAT casing it is in. Most, if not all, use Intel guts. Unless its AMD of course.
Whether its Gigabyte or Dell, if you are getting a regular ol laptop for web surfing, you are not gonna see ANY real difference in these brands. Once you start going into the upper echalant of laptops, like gaming, then you can really begin to see the difference.
You can get away with a $500 laptop from Dell and be fine. Or, check your local stores for deals under $500...Best Buy and Office Max has these alot.
The difference between laptop A and laptop B? The manufacturer....thats IT. Pretty much ALL laptop guts are the same, in other words the MOBO's, the brand of CPUS's, and RAM. Wireless cards, HD, and VGA cards may differ, but only so many are made by so many companies...and even then, its either GeForce or ATI...THATS IT.
Unlike desktop's, the amount of variety made for laptops is VERY limitied. There isnt 75 different VGA cards or 40 differend HDD's...and the CPU's all run between 667-1066 MHZ now, and are for the most part, dual core.
So unless we are talking about EXTREME gaming of video editing laptops, you arent seeing much difference in HARDWARE. Whether it be HP, Dell, Gigabyte, ASUS, ACER, or fuckin Wal-mart brand....a budget laptop is a beudget laptop.
Why does a Sony cost more than a ACER? Same as everything else...you are paying for the NAME.
