I've never been a huge El-P fan, but I stumbled upon his new album "Cancer for Cure" and I'm really diggin' it. The beats are knockin', and I can vibe to a lot of the lyrics. Two of my favorites are "The Full Retard", and "Tougher Colder Killer". Along with handling the beats on this, he also fully produced Killer Mike's newest album, "R.A.P Music". Here's a few cuts from the El-P disc though.

That full retard video is one of my favorites of the year. I went to the el-P, Killer Mike, and Mr Muthafuckin Exquire show in SF about a month ago and el-p killed it. He had a backing band playing the production.

i HATE el-p. all his shit is trash. only thing worse than his stale, off beat rhymes is his 2 garbage can lids, distort every fuckin sound production

I can understand you not feeling his style of rapping or beat making, but I've never heard him going off-beat. Like I said, I'm not a huge fan of his either, but I like this album. I respect your opinion though.

he rapped more off beat in the past. el-p is one of the few rappers who can go off beat an it works. although his beats helps a lot

and if we talk about el-p, we can't forget cannibal ox - cold vain which is one of the greatest rap albums to me. got best el-p production

company flow album el-p's whole style was going off beat and on beat..him and big jus did it throughout the album...a few songs he didnt go offbeat like vital nerve...also on some songs on fantastic damage he plays off beat...on some he jumps on beat...turned mass dumper....he dosent always use that flow tho.......when he rapped faster hed go out of pocket on the beat then back on

i think el-p is just well aware of his beats and will go off beat then back on cuz he knows his beats well..his newer shit he dosent rap as fast and stays in pocket

i remember when he had beef with sole cuz they were going back and forth about eachother biting eachothers styles...sole was about x5 more offbeat

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJrQwvEVtMw - el-p, linda trip,, listen to this song he does his offbeat shit on here then goes onbeat..jake was right abt the off beat shit but i fuck with el-p so thats not hate

also: YOU SHOULD PUMP THIS SHIT LIKE THEY DO IN THE FUTURE
