Its just rare these days.
There aint no real G's in the rap game no more jus wannabe internet thugs and people trying to take it in different artistic directions.
People forget that the the best artists are the ones who get reconized for there talent by earning it...and now deals are handed out over nothin...we need dudes scoutin again lookin for these stars...everyones lazy and greedy...so it's whatevers easiest n gunna pay me.
The gifts and curses of the internet can be batted back n forth like religion, politics ect...but as far as the rap game goes its been to diluted and the views on Gangsta rap right now are so ass backwerdz these days its fucked...people jus wanna forget about it.....forget about the best? How? Forget about Death Row?Sick wid It?Y.B.B? people really got it fucked up you sappose 2 be the best not who got the most swag....that shit only go so far with me....everthing's so pussied out nowa dayz...I wish GFunk would come back!
But I have enjoyed whats come out of Cali in 09 tho.
Mykestro - Emotion on my sleeve
Battlecat & Amplifieds presents G & Sexy Vol.1
DJ Quik n Kurupt - Blakout
Jacka - Tear Gas
And it all sounds like good music....but it aint no Pac,old40,Cellycel there's no more HEAT!

I'm speakin on the life BEHIND G-Funk. The O.G.'s that created it knew exactly what and who the "G" stood 4..... their homies, cousins, brothers, uncles, and fathers in the streets, the pens and the graves. But now since most of them are either dead or locked up 4 life, these ol fuck ass, bitch-made ass niggas on the radio and video is brainwashin these kids with that bullshit.

Well, the thread is about the music, not so much the lifestyle. But ok, lets roll with it. Are you saying the music isn't as good because the people creating it arn't real gangsters? What exactly are today's kids being brainwashed with?

But the lifestyle is the heart of the music. Well at least it WAS about 10 years ago. What's really not good about the music is that we hear 5 parts bullshit 2 less than 1 parts real life. And then these niggas got the nerve 2 be "makin it rain" and "poppin champagne" talkin 'bout how "real" they are, but when the shit goes down in the hoods they claim and their own people need help they get Asian on ya.... Neither seen or heard.

True, but lets take Dr. Dre for example. It's safe to say Warren G and Dre are creators of G-Funk. And according to you G-Funk is the "real" shit. Dr. Dre is a self proclaimed "natural born killa". He's rapped about pilling caps, being an OG, and killing. Do you honestly believe he did any of it?

Dre may not be the serial/natural born killa that he used to rap about being, but the man sure as hell knows how to make good music.

I do see your point though, as far as making music from the heart.

In a 2004/5 interview with XXL The D.O.C. said that himself, Cube and Dre took Eazy's life and what was goin on next door and made the shit Hollywood. My take on it all is even if you come up like Nas did watchin the shit go down from a bedroom window put the truth in what you saw and put some funk in it.

And the thing that gets me is that there's no balance out there. Remember when u could turn your radio dial and hear "Me Myself and I" right after "Straight Outta Compton" followed by Rebel Without A Pause? Or for as many "It's All About The Benjamin's" you could hear "'Bout It 'Bout It" Hell I got excited when I 1st heard Ray Cash's "Bumpin My Music" , The Knux "Cappuchino".... but now we don't hear nothin but "hopupoutthe bedturnmyswagonIswagandsurfgetmoneyshegotadonkegetmoney lol
