Mac Dre.. Based on the fact that when I got my first Mac Dre tape.. California Livin.. It had the Gift to Gab on the flip side.. now that track can fade any Nickatina song..

Hard one, I think when Nicky is backed up with the right beat he's one of the best for example "Smoke Dope and Rap", "All Star Chuck Taylors" but when he's off he can be super wack to me while Mac Dre is consistent lyrically. I enjoy Mac Dre albums way more, but when you look at Mac Dre's high points lyrically and Nicky's high point lyrically, Nicky is by far better. I'm voting for Nicky. But I slump more Mac Dre albums. I don't think I've picked up a Nicky album in sometime.

Mac Dre...his lyrics lately aren't as deep as they were on the earlier shit, but something about THIZELLE WASHINGTON and IT'S NOT WHAT YOU SAY is still appealing, even if the engineering and production aren't that good. They're cool to bump when it's after midnight, you've had a few drinks, and you're buzzin' and just in the mood to be lazy and have some fun.

Nickatina's DRE DOG shit was dope as hell, but on his CDs since then...he just sounds like he's saying, "hey, listen to me show off my vocabulary as I rhyme all these obscure words just for the sake of sounding intellectual like Killah Priest." IMHO, simple pleasures are often the best, so I pick Mac Dre. Even when he's not spitting the greatest lyrics in a technical sense, at least he's still fun. PEACE!
