If your talking about brute force and strength sure, if were talking about boxing skills NHL will win, and what matters the most in a fight? I hope NFL players wouldn't be stupid enough to box a NHL player with their helmet off...Its also sad considering those NHL players can hardly stand firm with those damn skates on lol...
who the hell is talking about boxing skills?

LOL @ thinking NHL players are boxers because they get to fight during their boring ass games.

Just because you don't see football players fighting all the time doesn't mean none of them know how.

Their boxing skills are impressive and I doubt NFL players could throw the perfect punches they do..Like I said, thats even before you add the fact their on the fuckin ice and on skates which is hard as fuck to stand on...

well they do that hold-onto-jersey move. Then it's not that hard to swing at the only exposed part of the upperbody, the face.

Oh, Johnson knew what he was doing. His balance when throwing those couple of punches was perfect. He would have mollywhopped Finnegan. Usually the person that lands the first real good punch will win, no matter if he is in the NFL, NHL or off the street. Some of you must have only been a couple fights in your life. You win some and lose some, it is part of the game....

I think Johnson is going to get fined and suspended. He was throwing blows with his fists closed..... Finnegan will probably just be fined.

haha I guess I'm the only one who likes Finnegan...love the helmet chuck.

I'm a small guy myself so I know what it's like having to play against guys alot bigger than I am...you have to do some dirty work sometimes.

I like Johnson too...but the shots to the back of the head were a bit much...at least let him stand up.

You gotta be joking. Almost every single time I've ever seen a fight during a hockey game, they're throwing punches like an average street brawler. Little skill is demonstrated and there are no "perfect punches." You can doubt other athletes all you want, but the fact of the matter is you have no idea how well those guys can fight.

As for the ice and skates.. That's what those guys do. I'm not even that good on the ice and I guarantee I can throw more accurate punches than they do because I'm trained to do it. And if I do that hold-on-to-the-other-guy's-jersey shit they do, it's even easier. You're delusional.

I'd say "at least let him get up" if Andre just attacked him out of nowhere, but that wasn't the case. Finnegan was on the ground because Andre threw his ass down there. It was already on at that point.

Yeah you got a point there, they only do it to stabilize themselves a little bit so they don't fall down while swinging though..Either way if anyone wants to get in a fight in the nfl they should take their helmets off imo otherwise you won't get very far...

Oh and trust me Finnegan will be fined and suspended as much if not more than Johnson, hes had past incidents and this is Johnsons first..

Edit: No suspension, hard to believe since the NFL is soft anymore..
