She's like Billie Holiday reincarnated....Her voice is definitly one of the best in the business...

The album is full of Jazzy beats with a hip hop twist. The production is top notch....One thing I found interesting about Lina's bio is that Blu Cantrells song "Hit em up Style" was originally hers and Dallas Austin stole that track and gave it to Blu....

It's a MUST BUY album...

I wish i could click on the album and hear a sample....
You can hear the samples on amazon.com, but I didn't know how good the production was on the album with those 30 second samples...You have to download it or buy it.....

Trust me the album is worth the scrilla....

I can't say enough about her voice.....

Tenk-- have u heard Peven Everett "Studio Confessions"?? this is a damn good album right here.
Thats a coincidence because I'm ordering that album right now....

it's suppose to come on thursday....I was feeling the samples I was hearing on the album. To me from what I've heard it seemed like it was on the D'Angelo Brown Sugar type of vibe...

Here's another hidden Gem

Bilal-1st born second

Production is insane: He has 2 Dr. Dre produced tracks, Raphael Saadiq, ?ueslove from the roots, and himself. This album is almost as good as Lina's album.....

Yeah Neo Soul is a good breath of fresh air from what I usually listen to.....I was feeling Everettes samples, I can't wait to get that shit...

But seriously, do not pass up on Bilals-1st born second album if you find it...He's on some other shit on this album, it has a nice mix of funk and soul...

Here's a whole album I found on the internet Joi-Star Kitty's Revenge...Click the play list to listen to the tracks you want to....

http://www.universalmotown.com/joi/jukebox/

It sounds all right, I'm really torn on whether I should buy this shit or not...To me it sounds like a failed experiment of P Funk, but some tracks on there are really knocking.....Another drawback is that they have a lot of skits...

Yea that's definitely a good album. "Soul Sister" is one of my favorite tracks.

I'm gonna have to check out that Lina one.

I didn't know folks on the siccness were feelin neo soul. Good shit.
Bilal's album was a big suprise to me, because first I didn't know he had an album out, and second it was in the bargain bin for $6.98 at Backdoor records. The album is straight up consistent, and yeah "Soul sista" is my favorite track on the album also...

Yup, check out Lina....

Where is Backdoor Records located? Do they have any copies left? That's a steal.
Backdoor records is in Cotati, I saw Bilals CD in the used section for $8.98

But they do not have Lina's album, you would have to order it through them....

They got some good ass shit there, there Rap, R&B and Soul used section is filled with some classic albums...

Yeah Bilal was cool I bought that one, Hes about to drop a new album sometime this summer. I saw Lina perform here at The Beach water Park a couple years back I think 2001. She is very talented.

I'm feeling that last Donell Jones and both of those Methrone albums them boys can really sing.

DAMN YOU SAW HER LIVE!!?!?!!

I heard her voice is just as good live like it is on the CD, that would be incredible to hear....

I truly hope the sista doesn't give up and proceeds to make a new album...She really got screwed over by her label, "Stranger to Earth" is classic......

Donnell Jones is very underrated, I'm feeling his albums....
