I have a job I like, pays well, like my co-workers, like my boss, love the location, decent benefits, but awesome "extras" like event tickets and what not.........BUT......it's in an industry thats going downhill, may never be what it once was and has a potential for layoffs at any moment (even though I have survived almost 5 years now).
I have an ex co-worker who got laid off from the same job I did 5 years ago and moved to a new company and is now the hiring manager. They have a job opening, I already did all the interviewing, and from the sounds of it the job offer will be coming my way today or tomorrow.
It's with a company who's product is growing more and more profit by the day, hiring all the time (no layoffs ever in 6 year existence), way better benefits ($$ wise for me and family), I would imagine the pay will be the same if not a tad better, location ok but not as good, they pay for parking or my public transportation, but the extras would be null there.
argggh what do I do stay and wish for the best and keep going places with my family for free (sporting events, plays, concerst etc...), or just move to new company which shouls come with no hint of layoffs anytime in the near future??
