mix tapes are STILL big back east (if you already know than my badd but) two things i saw
1. the east is finally realizin' that pushing 20,000 indie is better than gold n broke (even losing money)
2.mix tapes (just like chopped n screwed) offer something a little diff.(and 4 the label just 1 more unit that would have been lucked up be some rookie to the game) all the sound f/x , wicka wicka (insert word here) and a yelling dj don't get me up but i try my best to understand .... not what, but why?


it's all about taste
some like b.e.t. / some like m.t.v.

it's all in my sig.....first a group album/compilation with very, very selected features to intruduce Menace, Myself (Cuddie Cut), John Doe's production (I know y'all was feeling it at the Campbell show) and also Above Tha Rest records as our foundation.....like I was telling NICKPRO at the show the other night....I never sit here and sugar coat our shit...we just *puts index finger over lips* keep it on the hush, hush and drop on y'all like we did sat night....so just remmember the names....Cuddie Cut, Menace.......don't get it twisted, we aren't a group, we are two solo artists who connected to network....John Dirt has been a good friend of mine for a very long time now.....and I'm always looking out for my peoples....like I always tell all my folks....let me put my foot in the door first, and I'll keep it open for y'all to walk right in with me......

i jsut dont get why yall call it mixtapes what you doin the same as dj clue or envy or whoo kid or flex to call it a mixtape... i see people doin a album of just freestyles aint no mixxing so thats what im tryin to say if its not like anything mixtapes are known for why yall callin mixtapes not no albums or shit like that

Dion, sounds like a plan, soundtracks is where it's at also. I do have respect for you and you make life interesting when you don't just agree with everything everyone else has to say. That goes for everyone, we all have some realistic goals set just support each other, obviously we only wanna support the quality music that drops but in order to find that we have to be receptive and not sleep on anyone or judge anyone to quick. We have been working hard for the next year!!! I think everything will change for 03'

Well we are currently working on the final touches of "Automatic's "album. We are putting nothing but high quality tracks together. If we think it is not up to par then we start over. We will keep you posted on that. Other things that we are doing is putting together our clothing line for the summer. We will have everything posted on our web site. In 2003 I'm droppin' my compilation (not the first project I've done, but the first project that I put together on my own). Got the lineup almost completely squared away with just a few cats to get confirmed still including some people no one's heard from in a while. Time to really get to recording now. Starting in January shit should be movin' faster. In January we're recording C-Lim's solo track, the San Quinn/Kaveo/Rhythmx track, the Mac & AK/Top Dog Vanzetti track and the Gangsta Reese/Young 211 track.

Most likely the comp will be a 40 song double album with an intro and no interludes and... NO RECYCLED TRACKS.

After that I've got three different acts that I'm considering releasing. Don't wanna name 'em yet, but you know who they are.

And I might (that's a BIG MIGHT) resurrect Strivin' magazine in the new year. The original exclusively Bay Area rap magazine. Everyone says I did it the best and who am I to disagree with them? So that's a possibility.

On a personal level, I'm finally gonna take some trips next year. I work at a cruise travel agency and have yet to take advantage of the huge discounts I get. So I'm gonna go to New Orleans, Seattle again, Portland, and I'm gonna take a cruise somewhere in the world (haven't decided yet).

No doubt Nick, tell Errelevant I was feelin the cd man, alotta nice cuts on it. Worth the $ and thats sayin alot these days. I'm gonna post up a further in depth review tomorrow if possible in judgement day forum. The features were nice but errelevant holds his own fine, he got raw production too. Keep hustlin good luck.
