Bone Thugs-n-Harmony's Stanley "Flesh-n-Bone" Howse had felony gun charges dropped today (April 20) in a Santa Clarita, California courthouse.

Attorneys on both sides have confirmed the case has now ended.

"The defense turned over some information, and we investigated and realized we were unable to proceed with the charges as filed, so the judge dismissed the case," said Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles district attorney's office. (LA Times)

Flesh's attorney, Shepard Kopp, also expressed his reaction to the case's end.

"It vindicates what I've said from the start of this case, which is that Mr. Howse did not possess any contraband," he said. "When you haven't done anything wrong and you wind up in jail it's a pretty traumatic event. There's still a parole hold, and we hope to get that resolved within the next week." (Statement)

Flesh previously appeared in court last week but was forced to remain behind bars.

He remains in custody after a preliminary hearing was continued to Monday (April 20). Howse made an appearance in Superior Court today, where his defense attorney presented information that required further investigation, according to Jane Robison, spokeswoman for the District Attorney's office. He remains in custody at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles. (KHTS News)

He was originally arrested April 2 in California on gun charges.

Flesh-n-Bone was arrested yesterday evening in Santa Clarita, Calif. for gun possession. Police say they discovered a gun in Flesh-n-Bone's car, real name Stanley Howse, and took him into custody for gun possession. According to sheriff's information, he is being held without bail and is currently still in the slammer. Howse is due in court on Monday, April 6. (TMZ)

Question: If all charges are dropped, why is he still in jail?
Bc he still facing jail time. If they decided to get him for parole violation for even being arrested. when those other cahrges was dropped it just mean he wont get in trouble for them charges but he still in heat over rather or not they gonna violate his parole and send him away or work something out and let him out(which is probaly whats gonna happen bc im sure someone is or will be paid by his record label(interscope) to keep him out)

all i gotta say is thsi nigga is blessed bc if it was a regular nigga they wouldve have automatically gave him 2-5 years for parole violation plus them gun cahrges

"Los Angeles County prosecutors dropped all charges Monday against Grammy-award-winning rapper Stanley "Flesh-N-Bone" Howse, a convicted felon on trial for possession of a gun and marijuana.

Charges were dropped in a Santa Clarita courtroom after prosecutors were unable to proceed with the case, said Shiara Davila-Morales, a spokeswoman with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

She had no further information on why the charges were dropped.

Howse, 35, faced felony charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of ammunition, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.

Santa Clarita Valley sheriff's deputies reported finding a gun, ammunition and marijuana in Howse's home April 2. A traffic stop prompted sheriff's deputies to search the parolee's Canyon Country home.

Howse was paroled in July 2008 after serving 10 years in prison for assault with a deadly weapon against a peace officer.

Random searches are a condition of his parole, Lt. Mike Dunkle said.

Defense attorney Shepard Kopp told The Signal last week the marijuana had been medically prescribed.

The handgun was registered to Howse's wife, a police officer on leave from the Chicago Police Department."

Ha HA Must be nice to have doctors to pay to prescribe you weed and a wifey that's a cop to register a gun for ya.....

Hopefully he will wake up, im guessing it was something along the lines of someone he was riding with being strapped or something. And im guessing he gets random UA's so hopefully something like this doesnt happen again. I was a little angry that this could damper the release, but all seems to be good, for now.
