Dr. Dre has been one of the most influential people involved with rap music....ever! Every time he comes out, he sends everybody, rap music or otherwise, back to the studio and back to square one. This cat has changed the direction of music and done it more than once. That's undeniable man.
So what would rap be like if Dr. Dre never happened? I don't even want to think about it.

Maybe everybody would be on Cold187um or DJ Quik's Dick cause that G-Funk sound was a Part of Cali Rap with or without Dre ( Let's face it yall: The Sound that made Dre Famous was originated by Parliament and Zapp) and QuiK or Hutch would probably have blown Cali gangsta Rap up the same,resulting in everybody from every region jumpin on the Gansta/Thug/Funk Bandwagon

Would D.J. Quik have the same sound he has without Dr. Dre? Would Above the Law have blown up if Dre wasn't around? Dre's beats don't amaze me, but his shit appeals to people and he can put anyone on the map (gangster rapper or not.) I'm sure some producers would still sound the same because Dr. Dre hasn't influenced every living producer.
(What truly amazes me, though, is how comfortable some people are with another man [or themselves] disrespecting their sister, mother, grandmother, and/or partner by referring to women as "bitches" and "hoes." I know it's just a word, but it's derogatory and disrespectful.)

There has been some talk about Cold 187um Production-Style and Concepts on the "Black Mafia Life Album", strongly influencing Dre's Chronic so I tend to question how creative and original he is.
the Doctor always had some "Nurses" with him to help out
1.Dre and Yella /Dj Glove
2.Dre , Warren G, Sam Sneed and Daz(?)
3.Now it's Dre ,Mel man and Scott Storch and whoever the Fuck else that we dont know that might get paid to keep Dre's Name on Top
He is unquestionably the most popular Rap producer and has been behind the Best-selling Rap Albums ever put out (even to this day with 50 Cent)
I wonder if his Rep as a Producer lives up to his actual musical talent though
He ain't my favorite anyway so call my opinion biased or whatever
Plus the style he made so popular laid the blueprint for a whole lotta ignorance and fakeness in new-school rap music

You folks are correct.. It is an ENTERTAINMENT industry to most.
Personally i support music as an ART form, not as an industry of business.
MARK7 - I said that because i feel strongly that someone's music should represent his personal opinions. There's is NOTHING wrong with respecting your wife, or even asking her opinions ect. But when you are playing out an ACT in your music, a fake facade for economic gain your music is no longer an expression of yourslef.
