Seattle ALMOST took out Denver tonight. Denver was something like 9/13 from 3 in the 2nd half and outscored Seattle 32-18 in the 3rd. Oh well, im happy they kept it competitive.
Ray Allen hooked my fantasy team up tonight! He was on fire!

EDIT: Ray had 22 in the 4th. Nick had 18 and Chris had 25, both recorded double-dboules. Seattle has looked better as of late, ever since they instated Earl as the starting PG. Luke got slightly injured and hasnt been the same since.

Handicap? Disagree 100%. The Nuggets have made all the right moves this year, including not trading Nene.
He needs to keep that knee healthy.
Once he loses a little weight and gets into better playing shape expect him to log more minutes per game and increase his FG percentage to greater than 50%. He's the only true post-up big man the Nuggets have. If they have any chance of making it deep in the playoffs they'll need him. Without him they'll get eaten up in the paint. Camby can't handle strong post players.
Without him they'll go as deep as the Suns do, which is NO title. Suns have no post player.

So you haven';t watched many games the past 3 years then have you?

Nene is big storng and NOT WORTH THE CONTRACT!

That is why they "don't want to trade him" Because they can't. They overpaid to keep him, and haven't got shit out of him.

He is averaging 8 points a game and less than 6 rebound a game....tell me how he is good against the other big men?

He has been a potential upside player for 4 years now. His career avg is under 11 points a game and barely over 6 rebounds a game.

He is taking up money that could have been better spent elsewhere so yes he is more of a handicap than a help.

Hey he may get healthy, he may come back and be a good player....but remember this name? Antonio Mcdyess? Thats nene all over again!

Great points. Antonio was my favorite player. When he got hurt, came back and just couldnt get it right again, i couldnt believe it. He is a great 6th man for the Pistons, but imagine if he stayed healthy. Wowzers.

I gotta say, youre boy JR Smith has great potential. He can get hot in no time and is only 20 years old. If he can start getting more consistancy from his shot and play beter D, he is gonna be a good asset.

Hey, I definitely hear you. I'll agree he's overpaid for what we've seen this year, but they need him. He has been pretty disappointing. His problem is staying healthy. I've watched the last 3 years and conclude he's been hurt about 2 of those 3 years. Considering his minutes per game, his numbers are very comparable vs most big men on a per minute basis. He did tear his ACL which takes time to get back to full strength. But i think he's starting to show signs of life. His career stats per court time logged are pretty good. His time was limited his first 2-3 years. IMO, get him healthy and his numbers & game will improve.

You got a good point with McDyess!

The last time we let a big man (DM) get away who wanted $10M/year our franchise was set back 6-7 years.

I know I am in the minority here, but I am glad we paid him. I still think he will come around. Give it a couple years before we start saying the contract is a bust.

Oh I agree we have to wait before we call it a bust, because you can look at other contracts (i.e. Olawakandi) and see why he was paid high, but man for not logging minutes and making the most when hes in there.

For his strength and arm reach he should be getting tons of rebounds yet he is always out of position or getting thrown around.

Smith could be a good player. He does need to play better on D though. I tell you who I really like is this steve blake kid. I was like who the hell is this guy when we made the trade, but shit, this kid can ball!

I agree on the rebounds. He always seems to be out of position. I just hope his ass stays healthy and he can start logging more minutes. I think once he gets his legs into better playing shape his FG% and rebounds should improve.

I want the same thing as you, Success with our teams! I just hope the damn Broncos will pull their head out of their ass and bolster their O & D lines.

We've always had a similar problem with big men. That seems to be the position in the NBA that teams are always overpaying for.

There was one year when the Sonics had a terrible three-headed Center (Calvin Booth, Jerome James, Vitaly Potapenko) that combined was making more $ than Duncan, Tony Parker & Manu Ginobili combined.

watch Dline will be main concern this off season! Don't be surprised to see 2 draft picks and a fa move for the d-line.

I want the nuggets to win...IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG WITH A WINNING TEAM. They have made some great moves and could make some noise in the playoiffs, but next year will be the year, if they could move Kenyon and get a real big man for the money.

I'm guessing you're a little younger than me, agewise. It's been a longtime i've been watching these Nuggets. Although they were great in the 80's they were hella boring to watch. I always wanted to see dunks and that crew never did that. We need some damn SUCCESS!

Yeah, Steve Blake is the shit!

Steve Blake is still young. He has ALOT to learn at the pro level. He is from Maryland, and him and Chris Wilcox were the combo there. I watched this kid play there a bit and he was a good leader for that team.

Well if he has alot to learn then shit I am way happy about this trade then. He already moves without the ball better than Andre Miller and Boykins. He is smart with shot selection, he just needs to make the right pass when he does have the ball, and take that shit to the rim when he has a chance. I like him though thats for sure.

He was getting abused by Ray last night, it was borderline embarrassing. He needs to learn to stay in front of players, especially good ones.

Also, his confidence is still wish-washy. He missed his first 4 shots last night and didnt take another untile 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Granted, it WAS the difference in the game.

I don't know man, There was a couple of those 3's he was right in Ray's face and they still went in. Ray was just on it lastnight. They had a few different players on him and it didn't matter.

I think he didn't take shots because Smith was hitting and he wants to make AI & Melo happy. That's why I said while shot selection is good, he needs to realize he can take more shots too.
