THATS TRUE! its funny cuz reading this letter i laughed at these contradictions. the things u listed are the exact reason iranians didnt want the revolution. before the revolution iran was all nightclubs and shit. very westernized, fassion forward, materialistic, etc.

The funny thing now is the government since Ahmedinjead has been trying hard to push "revolutionary" music on the people and they are like "this shit is garbage"...lol.

it almost seems like hes actually speaking on behalf of the people and thier thoughts. everything he said is what the people would agree with, and the new government has tried to minimize.

but things are changing, so maybe hes just acknowledging the success of the youth rebellion in iran.

Then again many of the things he discussed are not only universal wishes, they are also often spoken by Muslims leaders - the al-Sauds talk about "justice" and "respect for women" even as mutaween beat and spraypaint exposed legs and men kill their daughters for things like kissing boys or being raped, etc.

i heard the US government took away the peoples constitutional rights.

well its the same fucked up situation as in china
