But to put this transaction in perspective, talk radio here in Sac on sports 1140 tonight were still downing the Raiders for this move. Mind you, this is a show that speaks highly of them most of the time.

They were looking at trading a 1st rounder for someone who is about to turn 30 in a month or so. Unless the Raiders do what they have over the past few years and highly over pay for him to stay, the Raiders gave up a 1st rnd for a 30 y/o player for 1 or 2 years.

They were basically saying that Al`s moves are more detrimental to the team than any help. Although Seymour will more than likely report, he might be gone by the time that draft comes. Then you`d have to ask, was it really worth it in the long run?

For teams trying to rebuild, like the 49ers and Raiders, these moves are crucial to our success. Both teams need better personnel handling these matters.

It probably was. I've heard him bash them a few times, or atleast ole fuck wad AL. i cant blame him though.
It wasn`t so much talking shit as it was being critical of the move, and the signings Al has made for free agents to get them to stay. That was basically his point. The Raiders gave up a future 1st rnd pick for a 30 y/o player who may be gone by the time the draft rolls around.

Granted, all of these moves are gambles, but Al has to realize that the team needs more than one player. Paying big dollars for FA`s helps if you`re in the hunt for the SB. If not, you need to stock talent through the draft first.

alot of this is based on the speculation and rumors being spread regarding the seymour transaction and our obvious mistakes with free agents recently. but anyone who says this isnt a good move doesnt understand the game of football. i mean we needed a proven guy to come help our non-existent run defense. If seymour produces like expected, the raiders win and the patriots win IF that pick produces at the NFL level. We know what seymour can do. that is exactly what you do if you are in rebuild mode. bring in a proven veteran player that handles himself like a professional and teach the young guys what it takes to win. i'd rather pay big dollars to seymour than a kid coming out of college.

that sums it up. you little kids dont understand grown business.
That's a load of shit. Getting traded and having to move is a part of the business they chose to be in. Most players would man up, get to whatever team they were traded to and make living arrangements for the family later. If they can't handle that then they shouldn't be in the league in the first place. It looks like people are reaching for excuses now. Seymour just didn't want to be a raider.

Like I said in the beginning, he will report whether he likes it or not.

just STFU. you obviously are biased and sound like a jackass at this point. did you see the press conference? should we believe the heresy or what came out of seymour's mouth?
