This is the first track that got me into Aesop. I saw the video on MTV, like at 3 am back when they used to play videos. Been hooked on dudes shit since then.
New album is fire, IMO. His unique style is always a breath of fresh air in hip-hop.

never been a fan or aesop over his own production. his style is crazy enough. doesnt need those busy ass beats complicating things even more.
there is a reason daylight was his break out hit. its one of the few songs he has done with a good beat that lets his style shine.
would love to see what he would capable of over more traditional hip hop production.i think he is capable of some classic shit

Listened to it twice now, enjoyed it more the 2nd time around. I think it might be better than NSP, but that had higher highs. Seems like Aesop was too worried about not making any bad songs, that he never took the chances necessary to make a great song. A lot of good songs tho, he's just set the bar up so high with his previous work.

3-4 songs i like. even those arent anything special though.
the complaints i had going in still stand. his production lacks the ability to keep me interested. nothing in them stands out. i end up having no connection to the song. over the course of an entire album it all starts to run together and i get tired of it.
