Yesterday I was watching one of my all time favorite comedys-Coming To America & wondered to my self...... as great as Eddie Murphy was in that movie why didn't he receive an Academy Award. Not in a million years would I have ever knew he was the Jewish guy in the Barbar shop if it didn't say it in the credits. W/O a doubt Eddie should of received an award.

Larenz Tate playing O-Dog in Menace 2 Society IMO should of received a Best Supporting Actor award for his performance.


Westly Snipes in New Jack City definitly deserved an Academy Award.

The cold part about it is that these people I named weren't even nominated let alone won anything.

Feel free to add a list of names of people who were over looked for an Academy Award.

I think Cube was great in Boyz in the hood, i think if he wasn't a notorious gangster rapper at the time he may have been looked at different

Fuck NO!! Cube was not all that good in that movie. He was not polished enough as an actor yet. U can easily tell he was new to acting.

MC Eiht was better @ A-Wax in Menace then Cube was playing Dough Boy IMO! Cube became a decent actor down the line. He just plays in a lot of crappy movies.

Chris Tucker in his role in Friday should of been a canidate for best supporting actor for his role in that film.

Johnny Depp in the movie From Hell should of atleast been nominated. But when u got an all white cast in a movie that was filmed by a couple of niggaz politics will always play apart.

I thought besides Larenz Tate the rest of the cast sucked on that movie especially Eiht...I mean when it first came out I thought it was good...But the dude who played Kane was boo boo as an actor...But fuck Larenz did play a hell of a gangsta on that movie...
